Additional Comments: In the most recent ratings, The Chew actually beat the number of viewers that AMC had in the same week a year ago. ABC is gloriously happy right now.

Message: If you don't have anything bad to say about The Spew don't say anything at all. I can't believe anybody wants to watch this garbage. They talk with their mouths full of food. What has the world come to?

Message: Oh give me a break Frons, it was only because it was Thanksgiving week and there were NO soaps on for 2 days. Either way, your THE SPEW show still sucks and is for morons like you who don't already know that delicious means delicious! FRONS IS AN IDIOT!

Message: You also have to consider that it is holiday season, which would make it a good time for shows like the Chew that emphasize cooking, decorating, etc. The test will be after the new year. Still, I would guess ABC would call it a success based on how cheaply it will be to produce compared to the soaps.

Message: Watching hair grow would have attracted more of an audience than AMC had in the last year! The Chew isn't beating the numbers AMC had even 5 yrs ago. ABC is happy because they have lowered their standards so far that a snake would have to crawl OVER them. ABC could care less. They don't care if the audience is made up of former soap fans (even though they've de-valued us at every turn) or new to daytime. All they care about is that P&G is still the biggest advertiser & that they have something cheaper to produce, w/a disposable cast. If this cast doesn't work out, or they think has 'run their course', they'll replace them.

Message: Yeah, The Chew is already a success, and it's been on the air for less than two months. I guess a lot of former AMC viewers are watching it, or it's bringing in new viewers. Either way, ABC has to be pleased.
