Sorry you were fired, Mr. Frons. Boo hoo! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Understatement

Understatement: Read the article, Frons wasn't fired, he went to his bosses & said he wasn't interested in re-signing. HE left, they didn't fire him. eom

Rosebud: with all due respect, let's get real here. Frons makes a self-congratulatory, sugar-coated statement to the press and you buy it all the way? I sure don't. This is a man with a long history of lying. He has always tried to put a positive spin on his own past sins and/or blunders. And so do the good folks at ABC Disney, bless their black little hearts. *Covering one's own *ss is,m I think, the correct expression for what people like that do. It comes as naturally to them as breathing. So if I'm a tad skeptical about the circumstances of Frons' departure, I have some reason to be. Yes I read the article, but I don't accept everything Brian Frons says as the literal truth. Do you??? He was hired to be Disney's * hit man* for the soaps, and like all hit men he did his job and then was dismissed. Hit men are always expendable once the allotted *kill* is accomplished. Besides, he gave the network a whole lot of bad press, which I'm sure that Disney didn't like. Disney may have ordered the kill, but Frons didn't execute it with the proper finesse...and ya know, IRL, people who hire hit men NEVER intend to take the blame themselves. Whether our pal Bri was technically fired or paid off or whatever isn't really the issue, since he's currently one of the most hated people in the industry. To say that he's leaving under less than auspicious circumstances would be a fair guess. He may have some $$$ to brag about for awhile, but he sold his soul to get it. Not a fair exchange, at least IMO. Understatement

Understatement: There is no reason to think that he DIDN'T tell the truth. ABC confirmed that they had asked him to re-sign & that he turned them down. Another reason I tend to believe that this was HIS choice is just what you said, this SHOULD have happened yrs ago & the fact that it didn't was because of those mental giants/brain trust at ABC/Disney, who wanted the same old, same old. I can believe that even Frons got tired of licking those boots. eom

Maybe he's just sick of all the bad publicity he has been getting. Disney used him, first as their hit man and later as their fall guy. Maybe he HAS had enough of that. He sold his soul for $$$ and now he's got to live with himself, knowing in his heart that many people actively hate him. Money's nice, but I'd much rather be poor and loved! It must be very lonely being Brian Frons right now. Understatement

Sadly, Understatement, Frons is always loved everytime he passes his own reflection. I don't really think that he feels the need to gain approval from 'the little people' (ie: anyone else). He was happy in his little bubble for the last 9 yrs. He left when the gettin' was good. eom

And the know it all speaks, again. Rosebud, were you in on the conversations between Frons and ABC/Disney? I didn't think so. Why do you always have to sound like you know everything, when you clearly don't?

You know EK, the only thing more pathetic than Rosie's need to know it all is your need to follow her around and harrass her about it. You're far more annoying. She comments on the show, but it seems you're here to comment on *her*. Pathetic.
