The truth is that The Chew has no tips that a ''normal'' person would want. Only a moron would want tips from such a place and if someone can't see that, then so be it. .

No. I don't like Mario and Carla really gets on my nerves. This is from seeing them on other shows. NOT from watching The Chew.
I have no interest. The entire concept bores me.
Apparently it's doing well enough in the ratings; good for them and whoever wants to watch this stuff...as if there are not enough cooking shows..even a "high concept" (ha) one like this is (lol)...as if there is not an entire network devoted to food.

Never!! I have no desire to Ever watch The Spew! From the awful looking ads that I have seen, it doesn't even look like a Real Cooking Show, it came across as a Bad SNL Skit doing a take off on The Food Network!! To think that they replaced a beloved and Classic Soap like AMC with this Trash makes my head spin! Bring Back AMC!!

I had some days off after Thanksgiving, and I was watching Debbi Morgan give a great AA meeting speech on Y&R. I caught myself watching the clock to switch over to AMC for the second half. Then I realized that Y&R doesn't overlap with anything else I want to see.
I'll admit I saw a few minutes of the Chew. It felt like an infomercial. If I ever did watch a food show, it would be Rachel Ray. I remember being impressed with her when she did 30 Minute Meals on cable. The way she talked to the camera made me feel like I was actually in the room with her. The phrase "Too many cooks in the kitchen" exists for a reason.
Posted by: No.... I have zero interest in watching this show. I usually watch Who Wants to be a Millionaire which in my area airs right before the Chew begins... and as soon as it is over I can't change the channel fast enough! I feel a tremendous aversion to the Chew.

I've caught it more than once, but less than five times & have never watched a whole episode. I just don't see the chemistry & I REALLY dislike the way that an intelligent chef/restranteur like Batali is made to look like a buffoon, which he is far from being. I'd rather watch 5 minutes of him on Rachael Ray than 5 seconds on The Chew.

He wears orange Clogs - not a good look IMO. MM
MM: He has been wearing the orange clogs for yrs., far longer than he has been doing 'The Chew'. eom
Yes, I know he's been wearing the orange clogs - his trademark? Still, IMHO, not a good look (for anyone). MM
MM: There are a lot of clothes that chefs wear that isn't flattering for anyone! At least he doesn't wear those awful herringbone or check pattern balloonish pants that they have in the chef's supply catalogs! They've had the clogs (in various colors, including orange) for many, many yrs., certainly longer than MB has been around!! eom
Mario looks like a fool n those clogs. He needs to lose some weight.
To each his own in the world of Fashion. On my own note, no matter what he has on he doesn't have a ''clean'' look - JMO (especially for one dealing with food). MM
At least he pulls his hair back into a ponytail! We've got a head chef of a very popular restaurant here who NEVER pulls his greasy looking hair back or puts in under a hat! Everytime I've seen him he has had his thick, dark, greasy looking hair swinging out over open pots on hot stovetops--YUCK! I'd rather watch five minutes of Batali than this guy. A couple months ago I went to my favorite mexican stand at the farmers market & found a LONG hair in my tamale. ICK! The manager told me 'sometimes the flour comes that way.' Double ICK! I haven't been back since. eom
I give credit where credit is due and it is for Mario. He does pull his hair back but can you imagine how he'd look if he didn't? What a thought! MM

I don't even watch the Food Network - they'd have to pay ME to watch this garbage. Completely done with ABC daytime TV...and primetime for that matter. Just really don't watch anything on ABC anymore.

Nope. Not even one segment. Just from the commercials. I can see that it is a garbage show. No desire to waste my time on it.

It's hard to avoid those commercials sometimes. MM

It's my favoritist show in the whole wide world( yes, I know their is no such word as favoritist). I love how they talk with their mouths full of food and chew with their mouths open. I love the tips. Instead of using a napkin I can use a dish towel. Now that is classy. I also love how Dr.Oz's daughter gets her hair in the food. Great show.

LOL /goldie
and instead of using a vase you can use a tin can!!! MM
Oh WOW!! A tin can!? Who would have thought? That's a brilliant idea.
These hosts weren't hired for their looks alone (LOL)......they are ''brilliant'' as well. MM

I couldn't possibly care less about this show and wouldn't regardless of the circumstances. Have you seen some of their lead ins? "Looking for an inexpensive meal idea? Chicken!" What a waste of my time. It's like monkeys got together and wrote a cooking show.

One was something like...in order to save money use smaller shrimp in your gumbo. MM
Usually they show you the best bits too in a show's lead in. I figured if that was their best shot, it was a waste of time. // Shea

I have only seen the ads for it, I wouldn't watch it even if I wasn't mad about AMC. I have no interest in cook shows and especially not this one. Now, like understatement said, if they were going to roast Frons I would record it and watch it over and over with pleasure.

I'd rather eat broken glass. However, if The Chew ever decides to "roast" Brian Frons, with an apple in his mouth like the pig he is, I probably could be induced to watch that episode!

Now, that I'd pay to see. MM
ROFL! I'd watch that but then have to rinse my brain in bleach!
