Topic: my new guitar

I just bought myself a new guitar today. It's an Ibanez. It plays real well. I love it.

I made up a few songs. They're only a few cords. I'm not an advanced player. Maybe I'll post a video or something in the future. It would be nice to jam with somebody.

That's beautiful Miss Bear, congratulations! We're trying to sell Cody's Ibanez 5-string bass on e-bay, no bites so far. He wants a 4 string bass, but now he's also saying he wants a Ukelele. I don't know, I can't keep up with him and his guitars.

A ukulele? Is he trying to be like Tiny Tim? Lol. What kind of bass is he getting? My bf plays bass in a band. He has so many of them.

p.s, I think it's pretty cool if he can play the ukulele. That's a hard instrument to play, I think.

I meant to ask him what kind of bass he wants this morning but I forgot, I'll try to remember later. I'm not sure what the ukelele thing is all about, I'll ask him about that too! //Wendi

Maybe he just wanted to try a new instrument. Nothing wrong with experimenting with new sounds.Isn't he in an emo rock band? I'm guessing he's an emo dude.

I guess what I'm saying a ukulele and emo rock is a strange combination. I am curious too. It could sound real interesting actually.

Okay, here's the scoop. As far as the bass, he'd love a Fender but that's a little beyond his price range right now so he'll probably look at another Ibanez. Just as long as it's 4-string. As far as the ukelele, mainly he just thinks they're cool. Actually, his screamo band just broke up, but may reform without a few of the members. But he's also forming an acoustic band with a few friends, and said he wants to bring a ukelele into that mix. I'm excited about the acoustic stuff - they've already written one song and it's awesome. I'll let you know when they do their first performance! //Wendi

emo and screamo are pretty much the same thing. Does he like any old school metal like Slayer or Megadeth? Have him check out 'Dead by Dawn' by Deicide. Seriously, that song is nuts. It's about Evil Dead the movie. Is he working on a cd yet?

Haven't heard him mention Slayer or Megadeth and honestly I can't keep up with all the bands he likes, some that come to mind are August Burns Red, I Set My Friends on Fire, Under Oath, Miss May I, and lots more. No CD's but they have posted a few of their songs on FaceBook, I'll post a link inside if you want to listen. If you do, tell me what you think! //Wendi

my bf is currently working on his second cd with his band. i was thinking of getting something going this summer while i'm on break from school. i already have a few song ideas.

anyway, i'm more into Slipknot, System of a Down, Arch Enemy, and i really like old school metal.
