There are stories of coincidence and chance, of intersections and strange things told, and which is which and nobody knows; and we generally say, 'Well, if that was in a movie, I wouldn't believe it.' These strange things happen all the time.

co-in·ci·dence-(plural co·in·ci·dences) noun
1. chance happening: something that happens by chance in a surprising or remarkable way.
2. happening without planning: the fact of happening by chance. By sheer coincidence, we both ended up at the same restaurant.

Have you ever been walking down the street thinking of someone only to have them walk in front of you just seconds later? Have you reached for the phone to call someone when the phone rings and it's them? Have you noticed coincidences that are just too odd that you have to tell someone about them?
-My co-worker and I have almost the same phone number. Only the prefix is different. The last four digits are the same.
-Another co-worker has a friend with the exact same name as mine. Our sons are both named Will.
-I dated a guy when I was 20. Years later we learned that we each had two children with our spouses. Both the boys were named William and the girls were named Jessica.
-My father had the same phone number for 53 years. Let's say it was 555-1234. When he moved to a nursing home his number was 555-4123.
-My grandfather's name was David. My father's name is David. My brother's name is David. I married a man named David. He has a sister named Cathie. I have a sister named Kathy. Kathy's SS# is just one digit before mine.
-While traveling with my family.. we had a stop at O'Hare Airport. In the middle of the airport we ran into my brother who was on a business trip.
-My maternal grandmother died when she was 72. My mother was 40 and I was 8. My mother died when she was 72. I was 40 and my daughter was 8.
-My son Will and his wife Sarah have the exact same baby book from 1982. She shares a birthday with her sister yet they are not twins. Her mother's birthday and my mother's birthday are the same. Sarah's mother and I both work with children. Mr. Lyfe and Sarah's dad both are machinists.
-There are some posters here who have very similar stories. :)
What are some coincidences that you've noticed?

Anita, I showed the above pics to hubby and he said "Are you sure they aren't photoshopped?" I didn't think so but I Googled it any way. Here are the originals:
I still like the similarities!

With my hubby, these things happen all the time. I'll be thinking of something off the wall, like maybe we should put up a fence around that big tree, and hubby will call and say "why don't you go to Lowes and see how much fence would cost to put around that big tree." It's one thing when it happens around dinner time and he calls to see what's for dinner, but when it's something totally off the wall, it's kinda freaky.
When I was 2, my parents lived in a little rent house for about 6 months. The family next door had 2 teenage girls. When my dad got called back to his job, we moved about an hour or so away (where he still lives)... The teenage girls got married and moved the opposite direction. Flash ahead 30 years, my hubby is the son of one of those teenage girls. His grandparents are buried in the same graveyard as my grandparents and are only a few graves away.
Here is a funny coincidence in my family. I have an Aunt/cousin... She had been previously married with 3 kids when she met my uncle. They had one child and got married and divorced (very friendly). She then moved here close to our family because her previous husband's family would not accept my cousin and my grandmother accepted ALL... well she met my cousin and married him and had 2 more kids. The youngest was born on Jan 13. Well, I had 3 kids from my first marriage, got divorced and had one (although we didn't get married), I moved here to stay with my grandparents and met my hubby and WE have 2 kids and the youngest was born on Jan 13. .....just another funny here, I've had kids with 3 generations of that family (or shortly thereafter)... My aunt/cousin had her last child a year before I had my first son so they kinda grew up playing together. Then, her daughter had a child that was born 3 days before my daughter was born. And then HER daughter had a child about the same time as I had my last child. (did you follow all that...LOL)

This happens to me all the time: I will pick up the phone to call my sister, and before I can dial the phone rings and it her, we say we were thinking of each other.
My daughter just got married, her mother-in-law and my sister are both vet techs and have the same middle name. His aunt and I have the exact same birthday, month, day and year, almost the same exact time of day. We tease that we are twins separated at birth. :)
My best friend and I were talking about a childhood friend we had in the second grade, she moved away and we never saw her again. My friend's brother passed away 2 weeks after we were talking about her and unbelievable she showed up at the funeral, she said she saw the notice in the paper and recognized the name of the brother. She said she had thought of us over the years but couldn't find us because of our married names.
There are many more ''coincidences''in my life but I can't write them all down, not enough room, but I totally believe we are all connected somehow in this life.
