I'm very, very sorry for your loss and understand how you feel. I love animals, and every time one of my pets dies I go through the same process of intense grieving. But it's much better for the little friend, if he's physically suffering, to show your love by releasing him. I really do think that animals have essence as we do and that they too "cross over" to a better place. When I get to the other side, I'm anticipating the menagerie that'll be waiting for me there!

Isis My eyes tear up with your loss. Several years ago we had a tabby we had to put down due to a stroke He was 16 and gave us 16 years of affection, mischief, and joy. I still think about him and hope someday to see him at the ''Rainbow Bridge''. I share with ''The Rainbow Bridge'' with many who have lost precious pets and they find it comforting. Oh Isis, I know the heartache you are feeling. I had to put my Tiffy down a year ago, same lousy disease, squamous cell carcinoma. You will do this for Buddy because you love him and are being a good Mom. His memory will live in your heart just as my Tiffy lives in mine. It may not seem so right now, but your Buddy thanks you for ending his suffering. ((((Hugs)))) coming your way.
