I didn't have a favorite team but thought the game was on-edge-of-seat exciting. Down to the last seconds.  I love big games that prove the two best teams were there trying their hardest.

Madonna was surprising.  I'm not a great fan but thought her show well done.  Well, except for M.I.A. who will now go M.I.A. for quite awhile if she's smart.  I liked the costuming of the show, mainly because Madge covered her arms which kinda creep me out sometimes, lol.

Favorite Commercials?  Two I liked were the dog who bribed the guy with a doritos bag concerning the cat and the overweight dog who lost weight to make it through the doggie door to chase the volkswagon.

What was up with all the scantily clad women commercials? But then again, I sure didn't mind watching David Beckham, lol so I guess I'll just have to be quiet on that subject.

It was a good game.  I wasn't really rooting for anyone.  I was paying more attention to the commercials and my numbers in my squares in the pool from work.

Again this year, I thought Betty White killed it with her commercial for ''The Voice.''  I don't watch the show and that hilarious commercial won't make me watch the show, but it was LOL funny.  I also liked the bugee Dorito's baby and I loved the new Bud Lite WeGo dog (Here WeGo...)  I thought it was very clever.

Madonna was better than I thought she would be.  IDK why the Halftime show has to be such a production.  Yes, it's the super bowl, but all that for what? 10 minutes?

I missed Kelly Clarkson's national anthem.  How did she do?

  • She nailed that anthem spectacularly with a choir of young teens behind her! Eve

I'm not much of a football fan . . . like Sierra I much prefer baseball.  But the Super Bowl is a national obsession so I guess it's something we have to pay attention to.  It was fun that the last few minutes were suspenseful.

I enjoyed the commercials.  The Clint Eastwood one was nice but it took waaaaay to long before we realized what was going on.  As usual the beer and chip ads were fun and cute.

I must say each year the half time show seems less attractive to me.  Madonna? I was almost in my forties when she first burst on the scene and have never seen what was so great about her.  Of course she's always been in magnificent shape.  But musically speaking . . . she does Spectacle well.  Otherwise,  she doesn't impress me.

I was rooting for the Patriots but in the end it did not really matter since the team I was behind all the way, The Green Bay Packers were eliminated.  It was an exciting, right down to the wire finish though which was great.  SuperBowls that are lopsided blowouts are boring.  As for Madonna, I have never been a fan of hers and think she is dreadful if truth be told.  I have never understood her popularity and pretty much tuned it out.  Halftime shows are not my thing overall.

Well, it is all over until next year. Now I cannot wait for the baseball season to start as it is my absolute favorite!

  • I actually won a bet that the Packers would lose the first round of the playoffs. They were falling apart towards the end. They played a bunch of crappy teams like the Bears, Lions, and Vikings at the beginning of the year. They lost to K.C which is not even a great team. I am not much of a Bears fan because they stink but I just hate the Packers.
  • I meant to ask.... are you from Wisconsin? Are you a Brewers fan? I like the Brewers as my second favorite team, White Sox are my favorite.
  • No I am from Philadelphia and I am a Phillies fan through and through. I hate the Eagles though, and I love the Packers, Ravens and Patriots. Just like good football teams I guess. I know Chicago/Green Bay has a rivalry. I only worry about American League teams when we play them, so I don't always know what goes on with them unless they are the game of the week. The White Sox are okay but I really like the Cubs, I guess because they are in the National League and are the lovable losers, LOL eom Sierra

I am glad game was not over  too late..I really wished they would of started at around noon instead of 6. I am happy New York Giants won. I always feel bad for the other team (regardless of what sport). I feel both teams work so hard to get where they are.

I thought commercials were funny. I loved the M&M commercial. I saw there is a new Budweiser I think it's called Budweiser Platium?

In my opinion..I thought Madonna did better then I thought. I thought her new song ( I don't even know what it is called) but it sounded like the song (Oh Mikey your so fine your so fine  blew my mind oh Mikey.LOl.). it just doesn't sound like her music.

  • I actually bought the bud platinum at Sams for the cobalt blue bottles, taste isn't bad. I have a bottle tree I want to resurrect for my courtyard. Eve

I had to work while the game was on. I am sooooo glad the Packers were not in it. Last Year's superbowl did not count(sprinkling amnesia dust on everyone). I was glad the Giants won. They're the ones who beat the Packers in the playoffs so that was the team I was rooting for in the Superbowl.

GREAT game. Too many times the Super Bowl is a boring, lopsided affair, but this one lived up to the hype. I didn't have a favorite, so I decided to root for the Giants just because I like Eli. My heart started pounding when Brady got the ball back with 57 seconds to go! I felt bad for the Pats' owner though, since he recently lost his wife and the team dedicated the game to her. He looked so despondent when it was over.

I thought the halftime show was a little strange, but it was Madonna so what else can you expect? Did you catch her little stumble when she tried to step up on the bleacher bench? It's a wonder she was able to walk/dance at all in those 9 inch heels!

I watched the game at a pretty noisy party so I wasn't able to hear most of the commercials, but I did like the dog who put himself on a diet and I got a chuckle out of the bungee-baby Doritos commerical. Oh yeah, and as a Seinfeld fan I liked his commercial too, but I can't for the life of me remember which car company it was for.

All in all a good night. Now on to the NHL playoffs!

  • I saw Madonna almost stumble, too. I also noticed one of her assisted cartwheels was a bit timid. Those boots were clearly hampering her ability to move. Even some of her arm movements were a bit stilted so she wouldn't throw herself off balance. With heels that high, it doesn't take much. ~i&b
  • I saw the stumbles, not sure why she even attempted those moves but I bet she is HOT over MIA's stunt. MIA never gave any inclination she would misbehave in the many hours of rehearsals before the show. Eve

Well Mr. Cruz is from Paterson New Jersey as am I (born and raised - first two and a half decades of my life). He visited there this week and said he was playing this game for all Patersonians - does my hometown good.

The last quarter was nail-biting-good. I always feel for the losing team as well - to get that far....and it's not the first time the Pats went home empty handed.

  • I like both quarterbacks. Brady gets his team there ALOT so kudos to him. Eli always seems to be in his big brother Payton's shadow so KUDOS to him as well. Eve
