Additional Comments: This is REALLY hated characters (as opposed to love to hate characters)! Characters you really wanted GONE yesterday! These are SO much fun! I remember when we used to do these. The love to hate lists, hate to hate lists, top 10 favorites, top 10 best actors, top 10 best actresses, 10 prettiest actresses, 10 hottest actors, 10 funniest actors, 10 best couples, 10 worst couples, 10 meanest people, 10 nicest people, THEN we would get started with doing it from ALL shows, instead of just ATWT! We need to keep these going! Great post above, sportsy!!! (TEN, Rosebud! TEN!!!!)

Annie, this topic was created for the sole purpose of finding yet another way to bash Janet (ZZZZZZZZZZ, let's call the Guinness Book of World Records!). As if continually doing so will erase the 15-year stench of Carly Tenney, a vastly overrated, overexposed, boring, skanky, pathologically lying criminal with no redeeming qualities portrayed by a lifeless, overrated actress. The Carly worshippers are even more deluded and pathetic than the E.J. worshippers over at the Days of Our Lives board, the Phyllis apologists at Y&R, or the David slaves over at the All My Children board (all of whom defend and excuse every rotten thing these four have ever done, and rail at other characters who have good reason to hate them---Janet, Katie, Rafe, Abe, Sharon, Ryan, Greenlee, you name it). I mean, Carly wasn't so insufferable until maybe the last five years of the show, until Christopher Goutman's terminal boner for Maura West got out of control. I mean, she was on every single day (along with Jack, they took up about 95% of the show, no exaggeration there), and every single scene she was in HAD to end with a close-up shot of that overrated Snarly face. I thought I was gonna puke!!! Her obsession with the equally obnoxious Jack(ass) got old so quickly. And people called Julia Lindsey a psycho bitch?! Julia should have come back for the finale and machine-gunned Carly and Jack like Bonnie and Clyde. Seriously, Julia was the WIFE, and Carly was the mistress (as usual)! As for the original poster of this topic, Feemeister, she is the most obnoxious, loud-mouthed, annoying poster EVER to grace Mediadomain.com, and that is really saying something. I rarely come to MD myself anymore because of posters like her.
As the World Turns turned into the Carly and Jack show YEARS ago. What the hell were viewers who had zero interest in them supposed to do?! I had to go out and buy a new remote controller because my FF button wore out. But enough about complaining about them, as Annie below said, there are other things in the world right now to worry about other than obsessing over fictional T.V. characters!
So let me get this straight. The world is in chaos. People are randomly getting shot and killed for no reason at all by nuts who open fire anywhere they want. We're in a serious recession and a war. Our last two presidents (Bush and Obama) were/are two of the worst in our nation's history. It takes fifty dollars to fill my car up with gas. And you people are griping about fictional characters that you hate on a television show that ended more than a year and a half ago?! I just came back here to check on any info what some of my favorite actors from ATWT were up to now, but I see the same old annoying, venomous, whack job posters are still here. I actually left this board around 2001 and never came back because of said posters (until now). But now it seems as if all the sane, normal posters (very few of them in the first place) left too, and all the negative ones stayed! No wonder I left so long ago.
The old adage "get a life" should apply here. But a better one may be "get some psychological help" as well! The show is OVER, people!!

1) Audrey Coleman....I couldn't STAND this woman. To think that this annoying twit could be the one to bring down James Stenbeck is beyond ridiculous.
2) Mark Kasnoff....this pony-tailed muscled moron found a way to make tree-house sex boring.
3) Paul Ryan A....does anybody rmember the first adult incarnation of this legacy character? He was involved with some on-line shopping network or something, Also known as Wooden Paul and Model Paul.
4) Paul Ryan B....I know RH has his fans, but I was never one of them. Two expressions: the blank stare, and the sputtering spitting.
5) The 1996 Crew....virtually everyone introduced by the Black/Stern regime wa awful. In addition to John Howards "Paul" (see #3), we got Zoe Crane, Sarah Kasnoff, T. Jones and Martin Chedwyn)
6)All those "inTurn try-outs" that were trotted out. All were bad, but Evan Walsh IV and that chick who played the WOAK intern who pretended to be killed by Brad, well, they were beyond bad.
7) The Z Twins....words just fail me for this duo.
8) Ameera....until Reid came along, did Luke/;Noah EVER have a good storyline?
9) Charmaine...Whit McColl's lover who pretended to be his sister. What the heck was the purpose of that character anyway.

And I'm surprised, but I hated Molly. Ugh she was awful, and I never did warm up to her or see her as an important or integrated character to Oakdale.

Well, there are two ways to answer you question, Fee. Most people named characters they thought were lame, and Seeel-ya tops that list for me. But there were also dispicable characters and Orlena Grimaldi was, IMO, the worst in that category.

Hate is a strong word, I think there have only been a couple that I truly hated and the rest were just highly annoying, crap characters to me for one reason or another.

Jack Snyder- he was a favorite of mine for a long time- I was an ardent carjacker but Jack was completely destroyed by that coupling over time. He ended up an insufferable twat more concerned with looking honorable than actually being honorable. It was a terrible waste.

Katie Peretti- the ONLY time this character was tolerable was when she was paired with likable men. She was best with Simon- she was good with Henry when she wasn't treating him terribly and I wanted to see a house land on her- and she was good with Reid. On her own she was a selfish, self centered twit.

Ellie Snyder- her appeal just sailed right over my head- I never understood it. I was so disappointed when Kirk got saddled with her- just a total waste of awesome Kirk.

Iva Snyder. I never saw Nola on GL- I came in after- and its hard to imagine her playing a humorous bubbly character after sitting through her Iva. Two words for Iva- Sad Sack. I know her story backed that up- but she was just unmercifully dour- I remember Iva in awful clothes and really having no memorable romances- Again poor Kirk was wasted on this lifeless character. She was dull, dull, dull to me.

Bonnie McKechnie- Grating. Just an absolutely grating character and it was hard to believe she was the spawn of someone as smooth and charming as Duncan. And her wigs were terribly distracting.

Rosanna Cabot and her boobs. She was boredom personified. Another pitiful rich girl pining after her lost love- having everything just isn't enough. I never understood the time wasted on characters like these- just sleep inducing.

Lily Snyder- insufferable character. I always hated how she treated Lucinda when she was a teen- I was a teen myself at the time and I thought she was a terrible brat- and of course I adored Lucinda. But she never grew out of that bratty behavior- she was a brat through recasts and she was a brat until the her final shots on the show. Lily was one of those characters who, when men fell instantly in love with her and fell all over her it would have been inexplicable without her being an heiress.

Julia Lindsey- I just abhor the good little rich girl characters, always have. So I disliked Julia before her cheese slid off her cracker and she took a turn towards raping and murdering. She was sickening as cotton candy in the hot sun- and when her devious nature was revealed during the whole Winston Lowe thing that was finally something that made sense to me- she was crafty- she was spoiled and she was used to getting her way. I still disliked her but that was more tolerable. As that triangle dragged on and on and on- Julia in her faux neediness and desperation became ridiculous. This was the story that also the beginning of the end for Jack in my eyes.
Now the couple I can say I hated with the intensity of a dozen suns-

Julia Larabee- I never like this actress- anywhere I have seen her she is consistently irksome. She simply cannot inspire any compassion or empathy- anytime I am supposed have some soft feelings for her characters I only feel annoyed. I think the character was terrible probably no matter who played her but with this actress it was guaranteed Julia would come off as a back stabbing, plotting skank- and that is exactly how I saw her.

JANET. JANET. JANET. The character was awful- the actress was awful. The character or actress one was very obviously someones pet- the character was repugnant and crude yet we had months of dialogue to endure on what a great woman she was- this is always the worst sort of character. It may have been the perfect storm- awful character and actress and the topper- the show was dying and time was short- she sucked up more time than any other character IMO and the show was busy telling us how awesome she was. In other circumstances I would have hated her still but probably not with the white hot burning passion that I did and still do.

It's surprising that after 40+ years watching ATWT I don't feel flooded with characters I really hated..... that had little or no redeeming value to me. Here's ten. I could probably only come up with about five more than this.
For me, it begins and (almost) ends with Denise Maynard. I can't describe how much I hated her - how offensive she was to me.
Henry Lange was loathsome. It was brave of James Rebhorn to take that role.
I pretty much hated Margo after Ellen Dolan replaced Hilary Bailey-Smith.
I'll go with Linc Lafferty too
That awful ex-girlfriend of his, Marcy Breen I think her name was
Iris Dombrowski. I didn't find that crass horrid woman the slightest bit amusing.
Original Rosanna Cabot bored me to death. 90% of the time she stood with her arms crossed over her enormous bazoom, staring dreamily off into the Snyder cow pasture. Dull, dull, dull
Grown up Dani Andropolous. What a mistake THAT story was
Steve Andropolous. Never could understand what anyone saw in that guy, including Betsy. A total waste of time.
Miranda Marlow. What the heck was THAT all about? Bob Hughes and a woman like that? I don't think so.

Now this is where I transpose my feelings for the actor onto the character. If I disliked the actor, I couldn't bear to watch the character, and would actually grunt whenever they were shown, for I hated them so. Basically, and thankfully, my list is not too long.
I hated Jake with a passion because the actor was so full of himself that he literally dominated the scene with his loudness and grotesque mannerisms -- just like a bull in a china shop. The actor was so damn conceited - one could actually see it in his face how pleased he was with ''himself'' - oh, I hated Jake.
Julia Lindsey and Annie Parise (sp?) - I could not stand looking at the actress. When some posters here began comparing her looks with Audrey Hepburn, I just about was ready to vomit. How could they compare Audrey Hepburn's petite features with those bulbous ones on Annie P's face? Her huge man hands also made my stomach do flip flops. The actress also couldn't act.
Dani Andropoulos (sp?) - Everything about the teen actress made me cringe. Also, she couldn't act.
Yyvone Perry's Rosanna. The actress couldn't act for beans, --- probably got her job because of her big boobs. (IMO)
Mark Collier's (sp?) Mike. Lousy actor.
Mark Kaznoff = The actor sucked - could not act.
Katie - her perkiness drove me bananas. Plus I did not like Terri Colombino or whatever her name is now.
