....then I can readily applaud her when she is doing an outstanding job. And Maura was that outstanding these last two days, the 16th and 17th, playing Dianne on Y&R. She hasn't been, -- IMO, on that program, or on ATWT for a very long time.

She was able to convey anger, dismay, rage .... just as she did with Carly The Younger. Of course she didn't crinkle her nose, furrow her eyebrows, or squint her eyes ... they're frozen in time.....but she did twist her mouth, pout, scream, and made the guttural 'sounds' of Carly The Younger ..... and it was a joy to watch this actress in her top, top form, finally.

Y&R, IMO, is a dark and dismal program. However I've learned to enjoy Victor and the sound of his voice. The only other thing I enjoy about the program is its haunting theme song...it gets stuck in your craw, into your blood, rattles in your brain. Me thinks that's the reason why the program has such a draw. ;)

You can, if you'd like to, see these episodes on CBS.com for Y&R. Maura, besides being in top form, also looked ravishingly beautiful in her latest do, which makes her face look fuller. After she leaves Y&R - so will I. Even though it will be hard not hearing that theme song again. -- as a substitute, I guess I'll play my old cd's of Andrea Bocelli who sings just as hauntingly.

I HATE the thought of her leaving! I have loved seeing her as Diane. I am HATING HATING HATING Katherine. Oh my GOSH what a shrew she is! And I have gotten now to where I really love Amelia as Victoria. I don't remember ever seeing MW not being exceptional in her role. I do remember at times the writing is atrocious, but she always does something with what she has, and is never boring. Fluff has been wonderful on OLTL as Aubrey, too. I have really enjoyed her on there. The wardrobe and makeup is SO much better for her over there, she looks a lot better! fee

I have not seen anything official that she is out. I would think TV Guide would have picked it up. I like her a lot on Y&R as well as Jeanne Cooper. All this Phyllis out of her mind and whinySharon on the farm is fast forwarded.

I think I read that Diane/Maura will be killed off in a big Who don it storyline that Y and R does so atrociously. I think MW will be gone by September. LyndaL
