Hello everyone.
I just wanted to share with everybody a story I read about ESS meeting some of his fans. I found a website devoted to him and the address for the website is ericshefferstevens.com. You have to look on the website for a blog titled Katie's Blog.
In this blog, the writer tells how she and some other fans got the chance to meet Eric. Apparently she and a group of ESS's fans got tickets to attend the taping of the pilot for Eric's new sitcom I Hate My Teenage Daughter. The taping was held this past March. Anyway they were part of the studio audience who got to see the pilot being taped. Now before the taping had begun a staff member called the warmup guy came to talk to the audience. They told this guy that they were big fans of Eric Sheffer Stevens and were here to see him work in person. But what they didn't know is while they were having this conversation with the warmup guy just a few feet away from them and behind a curtain was Eric and the other actors. So in other words Eric was able to overhear this conversation.
So they were then able to watch the taping of this pilot and see Eric live. But what happened next was a surprise. After the taping was done and most of the audience had left Eric came up to them and thanked them for coming. He admitted to overhearing their conversation with the warmup guy and told them that if that conversation hadn't happened he wouldn't have known they were here to see him. He was apparently very grateful and thankful for them coming to attend this taping. He was glad that some of his fans came to see him. He ended up talking to them for quite a while.
I found this to be a very heart warming story. To me it shows Eric as a very nice friendly guy who appreciates the support of his fans. I love it when I hear about actors or celebreties taking the time to talk to their fans.
