1.  My regular schedule.

2.  Hunt Block's Craig, Jon Lindstrom's Craig, Scott Bryce's Craig, Janet, Melanie Smith's Emily, Brian Bloom's Dusty, Jennifer Ashe's Meg, Andrew Kavovit's Paul, Scott DeFreitas' Andy, Lisa (who Carly WISHED she was...Carly was the poor man's Lisa).   Bob, Susan, Luke, Reid.    Molly before she shot her married ex lover in cold blood (poor Lesli Kay!).

3. When Janet discovered that Liberty had cancer and that Jackass still wanted Carhog after all, that Janet had turned to Craig instead of Dusty.    After all, she could have taught him that she too had a "past" and that people can change, even him.    He lost a son so he would have known what she was going through.    She could have been the one to expose the soft side that he kept hidden (but not for that long, hee hee!).    The Janet/Dusty pairing and Craig/Rosanna redo both felt forced and artificial.

4. Dusty, Carly, Jack, Emily, Paul, Meg, NuLily, Holden, Alison, Margo, Katie, Brad, and any other hypocrite/violent criminal walking around pointing their fingers at Craig!   How DARE they!!!!!!!

5. The deaths of Nancy Hughes and Reid.

  • Please refresh my memory -- in your # 2 you mention Molly shot her married ex lover in cold blood -- who did she shoot? I can't remember!!!! :) (Lila)
  • To Lila: I think Hate Dusty is talking about Silas, who Molly was supposed to have killed in cold blood (according to the hack writers) just earlier last year (2010). To Hate Dusty: hey, you're bringing up great memories of Doug Marland! His ATWT was can't-miss TV! And you're right---with the exception of Hunt Block and Jon Lindstrom, NO RECAST was as good as (let alone better than) the original portrayer on this show, especially terrible was Grayson McCouch as Dusty (hot hunk?! Give me a break! He makes Ron Moss on B&B look like Olivier! His voice was monotone, his face was all one expression!). Marie Wilson as Meg was the other one. Neither one of them could act their way out of a paper bag./fran
  • Thanks Fran. Silas wasn't exactly a memorable character; no wonder I forgot about him so readily. Molly deserved a better storyline as she proved out previously to be a more sound and mature individual than her ''cuz'' could ever turn into. (Lila)

    1. Since Atwt went off the air I've started watching One Life To Live.

    2. What I've missed most about Atwt is some of my favourite characters such as Bob, Susan, Margo, Carly and Casey.

    3. I find myslef wondering how the Reid/Luke storyline would have played out. I am assuming that if the show had not been cancelled that Reid wouldn't have died and we would have seen Reid and Luke have sex.

    4. Even though a year has passed I still don't miss Janet and Craig.

    5. For me one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was Reid's death.

  • Janet and Craig were two of the few people I still liked on this show. I hated Carly and Margo. They were a couple of self-righteous hypocrites. When you can help plant narcotics on your own flesh-and-blood you're no better than a bleached-blonde serial adultress.(Hate Dusty!)

    1. Since ATWT went off the air I’ve started watching DVDs of old movies.
    2. What I’ve missed most about ATWT is the connection with my long-deceased grandmother, with whom I started watching ATWT (along with all the rest of the CBS soaps) when I was a kid.
    3. I find myself wondering how the Craig and Rosanna storyline would have played out.
    4. Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss Janet (Grrrr)!
    5. For me, one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was Lisa getting screwed out of a happy ending, and her final scenes being insulted by John and Lucinda.

  • Craig and Rosanna were done in 2005 when she left him for Paul (who cost her her baby), and Craig caused her accident/coma. And just because Cady McLain and Jon Lindstrom are involed in real life didn't mean their characters had to be! (But then, what actor has she worked with who she has NOT been involved with?) The Craig/Rosanna redo was ridiculous. It would have been better (and would have made far more sense) for him to turn to Janet than Rosanna.(Hate Dusty!)
  • Janet and Craig? Interesting idea, though I thought that Janet was WAY too good for Craig, it could have softened his character a bit (but at least he HAD character, unlike Dusty). I also loved Eve and Kevin on Port Charles. In fact, on my Youtube page I still have the clip of Eve begging Kevin to elope with her. It was so romantic yet so sad! It still ticks me off that Julie Hanan Carruthers was allowed to come in and ruin the show just like she just did with All My Children. The bottom line was: Eve belonged with Kevin, Lucy belonged with Scotty, and they did not need to throw in boring Ian for Eve. The whole thing sucked IMO!/fran

    2. What I’ve missed most about ATWT is a talented ensemble of actors.

    3. I find myself wondering how any storylines would have played out under different creative powers other than Chris Goutman & Jean Passanante.

    4. Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss Janet!

    5. For me, one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was (despite the deaths of Nancy & Reid) the incredibly shabby treatment shown Eileen Fulton & Lisa in the finale.

    4. CarJack!

  • Yep! Totally agreed 100% on Car Jack! Redundant tripe.(Hate Dusty!)
  • The sad thing with CarJack was is that with better writing, CarJack would not have had to be redundant tripe. Their story was just the same thing over and over. It was like, ''stop this merrygoround! I wanna get off!''. This same recycled storyline got so played out during the last years on ATWT that Carjack were hogging at least 75% of the show with their boring repetitive story. I know I'm in the minority here but Jack was more tolerable with Janet (at first) and Carly was more tolerable with Craig (at first). Instead, the writers kowtowed to CarJack fans and not only reunited them, but had the nerve to blame all of it on Janet and Craig! Like CarJack never cheated to each other or lied to each other over and over. Or to other people who they were involved with. The writers should have broken them up at least by 2006 and never looked back!/fran

    2.    What I’ve missed most about ATWT is Summers at the Snyder pond.  But I've missed those for awhile.  But back in the 80's and 90's, the Snyder pond was rockin'.

    3.    I find myself wondering how the Lily/Holden storyline would have played out.  Another slap in the face...the classy Beck offering to step aside and let Martha Byrne return for the role of Lily, and TPTB shooting it down.  A damned shame.

    4.    Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss Janet.

    5.    For me, one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was Reid's death.  Lisa given non-scene's.  First bitch of daytime deserved one more turn around the block.  Emma basically missing at the end.

    2. What I’ve missed most about ATWT is ... just the familiarity of it- it was a place in my life for a quarter of a century. I will always love it despite all they did to ruin it in its last years.
    3. I find myself wondering how... Really the only what if's I have have to do with Reid. I know if the show hadn't been cancelled that character was a keeper and I imagine Reid and Bob working side by side. I really loved their bromance LOL
    4. Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss... Janet. What a scourge she was.
    5. For me, one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was... definitely the death of Reid. What a huge mistake- the final F-U! courtesy of Chris Goutman.

  • Okay, so let me see...Katie invents a stalker to break up Holden's and Lily's marriage, Jack shot his brother dead (while drunk, and into a dark warehouse!). Wait, it gets worse with the ''good folks'' of Oakdull. Carly had a baby solely to get her hands on 50 million dollars, then abandoned him and his sister to go run off with a jewel thief. Among other horrible deeds. Dusty shot Craig, helped plant coke on him, and plotted to murder Paul. Lucy kidnapped Johnny to keep him away from her so-called ''evil'' father (um, hey genius?! You kept him away from Dusty too!! Idiot! Lucy and Dusty deserved each other). Paul helped Dusty and Margo plant coke on Craig, and tried to kill Craig and Dusty. Emily shot Paul in the back and left him for dead. Meg tried to kill Emily. Barbara hired a hit man to try to kill his son's girlfriend. Brad blackmailed Carly into marrying her. Molly (who I used to like before she became just another Oakdull criminal) shot her married ex-lover in cold blood. Holden helped cover up that crime. And yet JANET is the scourge?!?! Janet never did anything more than shred a document to save Brad's sorry ass from going to jail, and came on to Brad for a couple of minutes (um, seriously, she's in good comany on this stupid show----Carly, Emily, Molly, Katie, and Meg all did that and yet never got the kind of flack that Janet got). Give me a break. Janet was one of the (very!) few decent people still left in that town!(Hate Dusty!)
  • AMEN, H.D.! You also neglected to mention Dusty taking money from Barbara to seduce Rose away from Paul. He also took money from Molly while they were seeing each other (all the while being emotionally and physically abusive to her). So is Janet the only ''whore'' on ATWT? Not by a LONG shot. I don't even think that Janet ever did it for money anyway. At least not like Dusty did./fran

    2. What I’ve missed most about ATWT is Tough question. I can't pinpoint any one particular story, couple or character, but I would have to say I miss having those familiar friendly faces and places to visit 5 days every week - whether I was liking them or not

    3. I find myself wondering how the Snyders' storyline would have played out. I mean Carly, Jack and the new baby (because I believe Carly was destined to sabotage every new start she and Jack had), but also what the future held for Parker and Parsley. The other Snyders too. I'd like the BIG question answered - do Holden and Lily get back together, or do they realize their relationship was too damaged by her impetuous marriage to Damian?

    4. Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss I can't answer this. Most of the time I looked at ATWT as a total package

    5. For me, one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was now, in hindsight, I'm going to say the spectre of James at Barbara and Henry's wedding. I'm so sad about Anthony's death. But Luke losing Reid was definitely a biggie.

    4. Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss Juicy Janet Ciccone! I will say, however, that I'm grateful the last two years of the show became the "Janet Ciccone Praise and Worship Hour."  Otherwise, I would really be missing the show now.

  • I never felt that this show became the ''Praise and worship Janet'' hour. I felt that that was St. Carly Tenney and this show should have been called ''As The World Turns around Carly and Jack''. Janet was the true underdog of the show. Janet never had any female friends, yet Carly's girlfriends were all women whose husbands/boyfriends she slept with! How fair is that? Janet was paired with Dusty the dull while Carly got her happy ending, despite all the horrible things she did throughout the years. Janet was picked on by St. CarJack for cheating on Jack, yet how many times did Carly cheat on Jack and how often did St. Jack treat Janet like gum stuck to his shoe, when she was his wife? Put St. Carly above his wife? He just used Janet. Janet had every right to run to another man. Unfortunately, it was to a character played by the worst actor ever to grace a soap (and I've been watching soaps for 25 years!). Jack and Carly didn't deserve any happy ending. Besides, we all know that St. Carly is a serial adultress. How do we even know that that baby was St. Jack's?!/fran
  • Fran, I agree with you about nearly everything, except Dusty. I was no fan of Dusty or Grayson, but I thought he and Janet were a perfect pairing. Everyone else Janet ran into was sanctimonious and judgmental, but not Dusty. He really *got* her and her background. I was happy that she and Jack became friends in the end too. eom/D
  • Fran, perhaps you missed the last few years of ATWT, but Carly Tenney a character I never liked, was kicked over and over again. And, because she allowed her family to believe she was dying, I felt she deserved most of that treatment. However, my dislike for Carly did not translate into support for Janet. Janet Ciccone was the worst thing I've ever seen on ATWT in my 30 years of viewing. The show was became the Janet Show in the last two years. Liberty's pregnancy was about Janet. Brad's death was more about how it affected Janet than his actual widow. And, Liberty's cancer became yet another moment for the spotlight to be smacked squarely on the sanctimonious, hypocritical, loudmouth tart. Carly was no saint, and when she dominated the show for a time, I actually stopped watching. Had ATWT continued, I probably would have quit watching anyway if the focus remained on the over-the-top, outrageous Janet. BTW...the only time I actually liked GM's Dusty was when he was with Bonnie. To me, it always felt like he was slumming with Janet. (eom) Mandi
  • Oh Lord....how could I forget all that time wasted with Janet and Blackie! FCOL the show was wrapping up, yet they found a way to put Pinson's RL hubby in a storyline that did nothing but feature Janet. An entire episode was devoted to Janet's visit home for her Pop's funeral. Ugh! (Aunt Marie was a bright spot, however. She sure called Janet out for what she was.) Between that and Barbara's time in the warehouse, so much precious time was wasted at the end. (eom) Mandi
  • Mandi, I understand you despised Janet and there was plenty about her not to like. But the worst thing that ever happened to ATWT? Nuh-uh. The worst thing that ever happened to ATWT was Denise Maynard. Hands down. For countless reasons. eom/D
  • d, it was certainly no secret how I felt about Janet. I found Denise Maynard to be crude, vulgar, and horrid. However, as much as I disliked her, the character never kept me from enjoying the show. I never felt Denise dominated the show, and I was able to more or less ignore her. That wasn't possible with Janet. The last couple of years revolved around that ridiculous character. To me, the focus on Janet was the worst thing to happen to ATWT...probably because she was absolutely shoved down my throat for the last few years of the show. JMO (eom) Mandi
  • I for one totally agree with Fran, Mandi, and totally disagree with you. Sorry but you're wrong about Carly being ''kicked around all the time''. That is the way a Carly fan would see it! The way I, someone who never liked Carly, saw it: she'd get kicked around for maybe two minutes (less than what she deserved) then she'd be forgiven again! Not just by Jack, but by Rosanna, Molly, Lily, whoever's husband or boyfriend she slept with! Notice how everyone was all smiles at her fourth(!!) wedding to Jack! After all the times she cheated on him, lied to him, and abused him. She made Janet look like wife of the year in comparison. Nope, Carly was a far worse ''tart'' than Janet ever was (hell, Carly was even worse than Diane Jenkins on Y&R, and that is saying something!) She even got away with kicking Craig in the privates, and yet he still wanted her! Any woman who lives around here, would get the total crap beaten out of them if she did that to a man!! For the record, I hated Janet's family. I hated her bitch aunt, her criminal father (though I love Stuart Damon), her goody-two-shoes sister, her bratty daughter. The ONLY one I liked was Janet herself. Soap Opera Digest named her
  • ...''Best new Character'' of 2008, and they were right! Julie Pinson has always played the perfect bad/girl/town demimonde with a real sweetness and vulnerability. For the record, I hated Janet's family, I only liked Janet. I hated her criminal father (love Stuart Damon though), hated her bitch aunt, her goody-two-shoes sister, her bratty, disrespectful daughter. Interestingly, Julie has been on four soaps. Including being the villainous Billie on Days. Yet she never got a fraction of the hatred of any other show's fans she was shown on here. And it's all because of, people have claimed, her being a ''newbie taking up too much airtime''. JP isn't a newbie, she's been working nonstop on soaps since 1997 and knows her craft! She had been on ATWT two-and-a-half years. Yet Reid, NuCraig (both of whom I wound up liking), Gabriel and NuLiberty all debuted way after Janet yet never received the type of criticism for being ''newbies'' that Janet did. For me it proves that the Janet bashing is from disgruntled Car Jack and/or Lusty fans (the latter, a disturbing romantic pairing, besides, the two replacement Lucys were terrible). As for Janet being ''loud'' Mandi, chile, don't ever come to New Mexico! EVERYONE is loud here. Would you rather have ''actors'' like Grayson McCouch or Marie Wilson (Meg), who mumbled so much it made me throw on the closed-captioning? Besides, Janet was supposed to be a Jersey-girl. They're all kinda loud anyway (do you not remember Rose D'Angelo? SHE was a loud, over-the-top ''Jersey-girl'' stereotype I could not stand). As for the snide remarks about Billy Warlock, what does he have that Grayson McCouch hasn't...oh yeah, talent, an Emmy, and a smokin'-hot wife!(Hate Dusty!)
  • Whoops, I mentioned that I hated janet's family twice, what the hell my message got cut off and I forgot I wrote that before. Oh well.(Hate Dusty!)
  • Loud or not, Janet was a real flesh-and-blood character. Not some Scarlett O'Hara wannabe like Carly. What is it with Scarlett anyway that makes every soap writer create one? Scarlett may have been played by one of the greatest actresses ever, but let's get real. She was nothing but a spoiled, selfish, self-centered, manipulative, tantrum-throwing brat who always got her own way. She was also a slaveholder (and I can say that since I was born and live in a slave state)! This was NOT a woman to admire! Yet Erica Kane (the biggest offender IMO. And you want loud, over-the-top women? La Kane is your gal), Phyllis Newman (Y&R---also IMO extremely loud and over-the-top), Theresa Fitzgerald (Passions), Carly Jacks (GH), Brooke Logan (B&B), Sami Brady (DAYS---I used to like her years ago when she was a villain who used to get her comeuppance frequently), and yes, Carly Tenney are all based on Ms. O'Hara. They are also some of the most phenominally popular soap characters ever. God knows why. They have become caricatures. The greatest thing ever on AMC took place recently. Jackson basically told Erica that he didn't give a damn and walked out on her! PERFECT! Just like Rhett did to Scarlett! If only Jack Snyder said that to Carly! Instead, Mr. Smug Self-righteous Hypocrite---a title he shares with Mr. Donovan---married her YET AGAIN while the whole town not only watched, but applauded them! It was unbelievable. He actually thought that after 13 years that she was going to change her ways? Jack was an idiot. As for that aunt of Janet's, she insulted Liberty's appearance as Lib had cancer! You're looking up to a woman like THAT, Mandi? Hate Dusty called her a bitch, but that is insulting canines all over the planet! Auntie was just a washed-up, bitter, ugly old hag who couldn't land a man if she were single (I'll bet her husband was living a living hell married to that rag and wished a quick death). Alas, there are plenty of women like that in the world, picking on women younger, prettier, and far sweeter than them. With far more sex appeal. Most men DO NOT LIKE WOMEN LIKE THAT, ladies! Women like that are either old and have lost their looks and are bitter about it, frigid, or if they're not old or frigid, then they look like Chaz Bono and have even less sex appeal. And I think that I'm pretty safe to assume that that describes a lot of the women on these soap message boards. After all, I went to a soap fan convention once (not gonna say which soap it was, though it wasn't ATWT). There sure were a lot of fugly heifers there (and no, I have never said anything like that out loud to anyone, so don't get on me for being mean or not having tact). As for ''everything being about Janet'' well, OF COURSE Liberty's cancer is going to be about Janet, she was her mother, for God's sake! And who cared about Liberty, she didn't have a fan base. I didn't even like the first Lib very much, much less the recast. The role should have never been recast. TIIC should have just killed her off or sent her to college. And Brad's shooting was much more about getting Jack away from Janet and reuniting him with Carly. Than it was about Janet. But that's just my opinion, the people here want to blame Janet for everything that went wrong with this show and they will see it their way. I'm sure that they never, for instance, saw Janet's wedding to Jack being about Carly and her unhappiness. BUT IT WAS! COMPLETELY! That was supposed to be Janet's day, yet it was all about Carly and her misery. When she made her own bed (with Lily's husband Holden, no less. But I guess that was Lily's fault). Or lied about her ''brain tumor''. But I guess that was Katie's fault. As for Janet being ''low-bred trash'', ''skank'', and other derogatory terms I've been hearing for the past three and a half years to describe her, well, she grew up very impoverished, and came from a family who didn't love or support her. So what about hooker Emily and porn star Alison, who grew up wealthy and with a mother (and in Ali's case, a father, despite the divorce) who cared about them? Or Dusty being adopted into the lap of luxury by Dr. John Dixon, yet being a money-grubbing, attempted-murdering, hypocritical, woman-abusing, criminal man-whore thug? Just goes to prove that money, caring parents, and breeding can't buy class. Janet did the best with what she was given in life. It wasn't about the writers ''manipulating'' us into feeling sorry for her, believe it or not---as Janet detractors claim---any more than Carly having a mean stepmother or drunk father manipulated the audience into making us feel sorry for her. It was just her back story, nothing more. As for the veterans of the show (Bob, Susan, Lisa, etc.) being ''pushed aside'' for Janet, they were pushed aside long before Janet ever came to town. Besides, as Hate Dusty mentioned, NuLib, Gabriel, Reid and NuCraig are just four people who came to town long after Janet, had lots of storyline, yet never got the attacks that Janet got (hell, Reid and NuCraig were even embraced by most people, despite all the deplorable things NuCraig wound up doing to Carly)! And Janet the worst character EVER on ATWT?!?! Not as long as Jade #1, Doc Reese, Cleo (I think that that was the name of that double that Jennifer Landon played, the one in cahoots with Jade to take over Gwen's life. Correct me if I'm wrong!), Tess Shelby (sorry, Parker Posey, I love ya but I hated Tess), or Tonio Reyes (the most one-note villain in this show's history---Peter Boynton was as bad an actor as Grayson McCouch!) remain characters in ATWT's history! And Hate Dusty, I have been to Taos, NM once, on a ski trip. The people were very loud there (yet nice). Just like they are in Kansas City, MO (where I am!). But it sure was dry there. My nose bled and I could barely breathe!/fran
  • fran and HateDusty, I admit I didn't bother to do more than skim your posts, but I got the essence of your messages. There is one small issue at hand. You have WRONGLY assumed that I am, or have ever been a fan of Carly. It is quite possible to dislike both Janet AND Carly for numerous reasons.I found each loathsome in her own right. It just so happened that IMO, Janet's sainthood, adultery aside, in the last few years was nauseating. As much as I despised Janet, I hated Carly years earlier. Janet IMO was not a flesh and blood character so much as she was an obnoxious stereotype. And, unlike you, I thoroughly enjoyed her Aunt Marie, who called Janet out for what she was. I liked Terri very much, but I agree that Liberty was an annoying character. (eom) Mandi
  • While I've read comparisons between Carly and Scarlett O'Hara, I find one more... I liked neither. I was thrilled when Scarlett's plans blew up in her face, just like I relished Carly's many defeats. What has that got to do with Janet? It really is unnecessary to constantly compare Janet to anyone else as a way to mitigate her misdeeds. In all honesty, Janet probably did the least amount of dirt in her short time on the show. It's how she went about things that burned my butt. She slithered into town to steal a married man from his wife, she became a butt buddy who decided she wanted a wedding ring, and then turned into a holier-than-thou Catholic paragon of virtue. Quite frankly, I find no need to rehash the history of chacters like Carly, Emily, Barbara, Lucinda, Alison, etc., as their dirt doesn't negate Janet's. While some felt Janet was part of
  • [danged quotes] 'umbrella' storylines, I felt she was being showcased, with a chorus of worshippers. Just my opinion. We were constantly told, through the mouths of other characters, about how wonderful Janet was, yet what I witnessed from her contradicted that praise. Yes, her Aunt Marie was cruel in what she said to Liberty, but she was spot on about Janet, a woman we know slid from under one man to another before snagging Jack. What was disgusting about her behavior in Liberty's cancer storyline was the way Janet found every reason under the sun not to be at the clinic with her critically ill
  • 'dotter.' Instead, she enlisted Parker, a kid she could barely stand, to stay at her child's bedside. And the icing on the cake was when Janet had the gall to ask Jack to be the godfather of the baby she had with another man while married to him. What a gal. (eom) Mandi
  • Making up for lost time...LOL...One more thing...of the 13 responses to this post, at this time, 8 mentioned that they still do not miss Janet. Of the remaining 5, one answered the topic twice. The point is that, of all the characters we have seen, loved, and loathed in ATWT's rich history, Janet Ciccone rates among the top in this poll for a character we do not miss. She certainly did make an impact on ATWT, although it was not necessarily a positive one. (eom) Mandi
  • Mandi, I was one of two - possibly three Janet fans (as you should remember, LOL) but even I do not miss Janet --- why should I? Why on earth would I miss one, single character from a fictitious show? Janet, IMO, wasn't vested enough; wasn't considered a 'heroine' - wasn't someone to emulate, or root for, wasn't memorable ----- she was just a player in an ensemble production. The objective of which is to entertain and Janet was an entertaining and engaging character. So was the actress. What I do miss is the routine, the escape for one hour a day, the familiarity, of the wonderfully entertaining people of ATWT. I miss the beauty of it all. In that regard I don't think there is a person out there in the whole USA who misses '''''Janet''''' -- per se. (Lila)
  • *I don't think there is a person out there in the whole USA who misses 'Janet' -- per se.** Funny, considering the response directly beneath this one. Where you found Pinson's Janet to be 'entertaining' and 'engaging,' I found her to be obnoxious, overbearing, and unwatchable. To each her own. (eom) Mandi
  • Well, if you're going to quote me, why not capture my complete thought from the sentence I wrote. You left off, '''''In that regard'''' ,,,,, it changes the picture somewhat. You're right about to each her own, for what a dull and boring world this would be if we all formed the same likes/opinions. (Lila)

I MISS JANET!!!    Julie Pinson is a wonderful actress and so gorgeous and charismatic.    I'd like to see her back on daytime after she completes the internet soap RiverRidge.    She was good on all the past soaps she was on, but she was simply phenomenal as Janet.   Great character.    It's too bad that so many Carly fans are too wrapped up in their resentment (because Janet got St. Jack to fall for her when St. Carly was sleeping with her best friend's husband) to see that.    Jack was better with Janet and Carly was better with Craig.   Period.   Instead, the Carjack whiners ruined it.    Carjack were toxic together!

  • You said it! Only I would have had Janet with Craig...both extremely complex people, and Julie Pinson and Jon Lindstrom were perfect together when they were a couple on Port Charles! Car Jack deserved each other.(Hate Dusty!)
  • I completely agree with you on your assessment of JP and the character she played, Janet. Janet was a perfect soap character IMO and JP played the role brilliantly with lots of talent -- in her favor. Not many here appreciated the character or JP -- they just couldn't enjoy the storyline and take it for what it was....pure and exciting entertainment. With most, I think it boiled down to personal issues and some simply twisted facts as we saw them play out and turned them ugly in the process. IMO, their never ending rage was sick and unwholesome. ATWT revolved around Janet? In a pig's eye!!! Whatever storyline Janet played in quickly became a mini-umbrella story, as it drew in most if not half the cast of Oakdale. But people didn't see that part of it...all they saw was Janet. geez it irks me still. (Lila)

    1.     Since ATWT went off the air I’ve started watching Hubbylifetime and I always watched ATWT while we ate supper.  Since last Sept. we've been watching recorded episodes of prime time shows.

    2.    What I’ve missed most about ATWT is the familiarity, the sense of family and belonging, the routine of watching my "old friends".

    3.    I find myself wondering how the Jack & Carly's new baby storyline would have played out.  I'm sure it was a boy but were their complications, what did they name him? etc.

    4.    Even though a year has passed I still don’t miss Janet!

    5.    For me, one of the saddest scenes in the final weeks was Emma saying goodbye in the hospital corridor with Holden calling Lily outside to smell the burning leaves a close second.
