Like I said in another post, I still watch '60 Minutes' if I'm interested in what they're covering, but I have given up 'The Good Wife' and 'Blue Bloods'. I know I'm only hurting myself, since no one knows of my quiet boycott because I don't have a Nielson box, but it makes me feel better. It probably didn't do any good to go to the ABC protests, either, but I went for the same reason. LyndaL

No CBS Daytime for me, so I have mostly avoided the promos. Occasionally they appear during something I might watch in Primetime (though those shows are few, as well -- Survivor, The Amazing Race) and I either change the channel if I'm watching live, or fast forward through them if I've TIVO'd the program. I've never seen even 5 minutes of that crap, and never will. I hope they all choke on their coffee.

As it turned out, for several years, ATWT was the only program I watched on CBS. So unless the Talk is featured on my next Valpak envelope, there is no way for me to see its stupid promo shots.
Like others have stated here, and as well as many others IRL have also mentioned, there is little on TV to watch, and I'd rather watch old re-runs of ''All In The Family'' - TCM, the History/Science channels than watching what is featured as entertainment in today's world.
Oh, what I wouldn't give for seeing Lily on the Island with Cooley hiding behind the bushes....or the three ladies running around the spa in their wrinkled faces, or Barbara wearing her standard black cowl covering her scared face. Rose wearing red outfits or Emma and her latest hair clip, -- Lucinda and her many scarfs....I could use, and need, a strong dose of ATWT NOW. Our extended family has had such a long patch of misery and it seemed, for just a little while, that we had finally turned the corner with me becoming a 'first-time grandma' as my daughter was expecting triplets. She lost them this week. ATWT --- where are you when I need you most???? ATWT and its beautiful people entertaining us would just 'lift' our mood for an hour a day. That's something 'The Talk' and its screaming mimi's, in a million years, would NEVER do. I hate CBS, I hate P&G.

Lila, I can't tell you how sorry I am about your news. As a one-time grandma, I think I can imagine the heartbreak your family is going through. Please accept my condolences. eom/D
Oh Lila, I'm so sorry for your loss. Just close your eyes and imagine that Lucinda has untied her scarf, pulled it off her neck, held it by both ends, put it over your head and drew you in with it for a warm embrace. /Jill
Lila: My heart goes out to you and your daughter. A few months back I was going through something and wished I could watch the comforting presence of Bob Hughes to cheer me up. But no such luck. We're left to watch the surgically altered faces of Sharon Osborn and Julie Chen. I, too, never watch the program and boycott CBS, except for Sixty Minutes, if it's something I'm interested in. LyndaL
Lila- I am very sorry to read of your families loss- my heart goes out to you and I understand missing ATWT all the more right now- knowing it was there to lose yourself in for a short while was incredibly comforting. Peace to you and your family. /dandyfop
Thank you, each and everyone of you, for your kind words. They are a comfort.. (Lila)
Lila, i'm so sorry for your loss.i hope you can find comfort from someone or something.my thoughts are with you!...mmc....
So sorry about your loss, Lila. I can imagine it was hearbreaking for all. Do hope the future will be brighter for you and your family./mm

I recorded ATWT to watch in the evening while I was working and continued the habit after retiring. I never felt compelled to find a TV show to fill that hour when ATWT was canceled. The Talk doesn't bother me; I have never seen it. I suspect that low ratings were to blame for the end of ATWT. The Talk can't be blamed for other soaps that have been canned. That said, I really miss ATWT. I was a 40+ year viewer.

I live in the SoCal area and I absolutely refuse to watch CBS since they yanked ATWT and GL. I no longer watch the the local news on either channel 2 or 9 as they are both owned and operated by CBS. I have not seen any of the promos. There is no way that I could stand to watch Judge Judy and Dr Phil or Let's Make a Deal and The Price is Right. The soaps were the only thing that was interesting during the day. I don't watch any of the primetime lineup on CBS and can't stay up late enough to watch either Letterman or Ferguson.
I now am continuing to watch AMC and OLTL but will stop watching ABC when those two go off the air. I never got interested in DAYS, Y&R, B&B or, GH. So I guess I'm just out of luck. Oh, well! It's not like they care!

I haven't seen a single promo because I do not watch CBS at all anymore. As an aside, I want to know what the relationship is between CBS and The Food Network...if there is one. I can't stand tuning into Iron Chef America and seeing that obnoxious Julie Chen on as a judge.

I haven't seen them because I don't watch CBS really anymore. But it doesn't surprise me that they'd try and jam Chen-bot down our throats in yet another format. How glorious it will be for fans to see her not only on The Crap but on Big Brother this summer. Two chances to see a talentless hack daily.
I actually tuned in once to The Crap because I just had to see the train wreck. And boy was it ever. This was in the first couple weeks of the show. The ladies were sitting around feeling each other's boobs...totally feeling each other up, and it was to the total horror of Julie Chen...she couldn't hide it in her face.
Now that's quality TV. LOL. But at least I did get to see some kind of expression on Chen-bot's face and at least we know that after all the plastic surgery, at least she can move her face once in a while.
Yeah, I'm still a gay bitter *itch over the whole thing and always will. LOL.

Fevuh: To see what has become of CBS is heartbreaking. Somewhere, Edward R. Murrow and Fred Friendly are turning over in their graves. LyndaL

Count me in as another who hasn't seen the promos because I watch very little on CBS. I watch the Sunday morning magazine type show and had been watching The Big Bang Theory, but it's all reruns now.

I'm in the same boat as Rosebud. I haven't seen the promos for The Talk, and they wouldn't change my mind about it, or any of those types of shows. I have never liked reality/talk/information shows. I'm hardly ever home during the day on weekdays. I used to tape my favorite soaps, and only do that occassionally nowadays because they haven't been as much fun to watch. Once the 3 remaining ABC shows end, I won't have any reason to watch or tape anything during the day.
I have found other things to occupy my time. Whenever I do feel like watching TV, it's mostly the retro stuff as well, and the news. I liked the sitcom, Outsourced, but that's been canceled.

CBS daytime hasn't been in my house since Sept. 17th! We watch some of the CBS primetime shows but we never turn the channel to CBS before 7:00PM Central.
As far as I'm concerned, CBS Daytime went off the air when ATWT did.

I refuse to watch CBS since ATWT left the air also, but I still watch Sixty Minutes and I watch their soaps online. But whenever I tune past CBS, day or night, weekday or weekend, there it is-a promo for The Talk. I've never seen the show. I did watch Cameron Mathison/Ryan,AMC and Susan Lucci's interview to see what they'd say about AMC's cancellation. I found it too ironic to resist seeing how the hosts of ATWT's replacement show would handle those questions. I thought they tried to wisk passed the subject. But that's just my opinion. LyndaL
If you watch 60 Minutes and watch their other soaps online, how do you figure you're not watching CBS? eom/D

I don't see them since I am watching less & less tv, for a variety of reasons. I've watched, maybe, two or three episodes of the show, only when there is someone I am particularly interested in seeing. I like Holly Robinson-Peete. I have to be in the mood to watch Sharon for more than five minutes. The other two I have no desire to watch at all. When I do watch tv these days I find myself watching much more of the retro stations. I'd much rather watch Mary Tyler Moore, M*A*S*H, All In The Family or Hazel than 99% of what TPTB considers 'hit shows', be it daytime or primetime.

I don't watch the promos or the show.i know that's childish, but i'm so disgusted with some of the senseless garbage we have on tv and our soaps are being taken away!I still think ATWT could have continued in some format if TPTB cared at all, but they didn't so that's why we have all these different channels and hardly anything decent to watch! That's just my opinion .....

I absolutely refuse to watch this trashy show, too. And I watch CBS as little as possible because they canceled 2 of my soaps. But whenever I tune past CBS, no matter when, night or day, there it is-a promo for The Talk. LyndaL
