Message: Hands down my favorite character was Jessica Griffin...until that whole Doc Reese mess. John Dixon is a very close second, and Lucinda Walsh (until the last year of the show) would be third. If Dr. Reid Oliver had been around a bit longer, he probably would have topped the list after a while.

For many, many years, Lucinda was my all time favorite character. Paired with John = no finer match. When Lucinda became Holden's champion -- some of the steal went out of the character (it seemed to me) .... and she became less admirable. By then all my attention and devotion was shifted onto Carly. She brought fire and spirit to the program, and I thought a day without Carly was a day without sunshine. Then came Janet --- just at the right time I thought, for Carly was as dull as dishwater as her daily dialogue (for a few years) became stuck on saying: "I'm sorry Jack.'' Janet was refreshing, one could laugh with her, at her, and cry along with her. It was cool having someone of Italian descent and at last a religion was talked about openly. When ancestry and religion were overplayed it became a bore. But the character was well rounded (if there's a pun in there, so be it,) full of spirit and energy one could feel the electricity pour out from her. She was alive and lively. Along with Emily, she shared most favorite character space.
As for the men: I loved Hal, James, Holden, Dr. Bob, and Damian. Edwardo gave me a million laughs as well as Rick Decker. It was pleasurable looking at Dusty face - there was always a smile hidden deep in his eyes. I wish Grayson good health in mind and body and hope all remains well with him, work-wise. They were all my favorites.. Hunt Block, Roger Howarth, Paul Leyden, all took time getting used to, but they delighted me as well.
Thanks for a fun topic, it's been
swell talking about them, - thanks to the actors, these characters came alive and gave us great entertainment.

Message: I think my favorite male character was Duncan. Craig was so interesting that the character brought out the best in whoever played him. I loved all of them.

Message: When I was younger, it was Lisa, Judge Lowell, Ellen, David, Dan, Susan, Kim, John, Bob, Joyce, Grant, Natalie & Jay. As I got older it was James (early), Barbara, Steve, Meg, Tom & Margo.
Towards the end there were just shells of the characters I had loved for decades.

Message: Back in the day it was Lisa. Towards the end it was Babs. For the men, I just always liked that bad boy, Craig - no matter who played him . . . but Hunt Block was my fave.
