Additional Comments: My granddaughter has been using her cousin's car to get to and from her summer job. Hubby thinks she ought to have some work done on the car, but I don't think it's worth putting any money into it as it is on its last legs (wheels) which is why he doesn't drive it. Also, my granddaughter is saving her money for graduate school. So I suggested she think of some inexpensive ways to say thank you. She is knitting him a scarf using his school colors (he's at University of Minnesota) and baking him some goodies. I also suggested a well-written thank you note. Can any of you come up with other suggestions. BTW, our other grandson who had been in Afghanistan is on his way home.

Message: Retruning it washed and freshly vacuumed with a full tank of gas would be nice. I like all the other suggestions too.

Message: How about a nice sized collage of family. Gatherings/holidays/vacations. Pets. Include a picture of granddaughter with the borrowed car - and a thank-you message. With a scanner and printer, you can copy old photos, cut them up and fill a poster frame with memories to hang on the wall. I have done several for friends and these collages are always a hit.
