According to reliable sources on here (you know who you are, lol), Steffy and Liam's DIVORCE officially began on 2/16/12, so doing the math (which sure does not take a rocket scientist, lol) six months later, for the divorce to be FINALIZED, a done-deal, would be 8/16/12, NOT any time in MAY, which is only three months later than February!!
Given this above, then soap time is 1/2 as long as real life time (at least in this case) because Hope and Liam's wedding is scheduled to take place in May, which is 1/2 the waiting time they'd have if the divorce became finalized in August.
What's up with this? They're apparently moving up the divorce finalization date to faciliate the wedding - why?

Message: In soapy time anything is posssible. What's funny is that after 1-2 months, they were still saying *six months time* and now suddenly 1-2 months later...bang six months is gone??? Anyway I'm pleased that it's not being dragged on for another three months. Just marry off the most boring couple in soapy history (LOPE) and LEAVE them permanently in Italy!!!

It is very odd that Brooke and Ridge got divorced within a matter of days so he could marry Taylor (again). Likewise, at the same time Taylor and Whip's marriage was over in record time so she could participate in the same wedding (that didn't happen, as it turned out). It is also very odd that Eric and Donna's wedding was over in a matter of days, including the property settlement. How come Steffy is the only person in that family who can string out a divorce to six months?
Disclaimer: I like Steffy and think she is the best character on the show. I can't stand Hope or her bimbo mother and aunts. Liam is a weasel and is no catch - those girls should run a mile from him.

Message: I think last week Hope used the word Months to describe the time for the divorce to be final- now its Weeks.
Its whatever the writers want it to be. It will be days by next week.
