Additional Comments: ...was the love of Hope's life. Remember? That's how she met Liam, who was partly responsible for the big reveal. I just love this selective memory of Brooke and Hope. It wasn't more than a few years ago that Hope was declaring Oliver to be the "love of her life" and reserving her virginity for him...as well as their future. Then hot pants Brooke came in and screwed Oliver by "accident" and ruined all of that.

I guess that's OK because Oliver,as luck would have it, was the "pretender" to Hope's "Life Love" whereas Weasel Boy Liam, the guy who lied about the reveal, allowed his current wife to take the blame for the reveal and allowed Hope to twist in the wind, is Hope's "man of her dreams".

It's so convenient that Oliver turned out to be a "mistake" and Liam is "THE ONE". RME.

That is the ultimate in passing the buck. Brooke, my hat is of to you.

I absolutely agree with your post Linny.  I've said the same thing many times in many posts.

Oliver WAS the love of Hope's life until her mother messed that up for her daughter.  Brooke has made it a habit of getting sexual with her daughters' men - think Bridget and Deacon.

Oliver is Gorgeous and would have been excellent as the leading man for these two women to be fighting over.  Liam is just so miscast in this role.

You know what else has really, REALLY bugged the crap out of me, in regards to this wall boink with Oliver AKA Hope's true love? I will NEVER understand nor comprehend how any young man would even want to work with someone like Brooke and Ridge Forrester after what happened? Why would Oliver continue working for an immoral woman and family who literally RUINED his life?! Brooke stole something very special and precious from Oliver and Hope.
As far as being sexually violating towards Hope... what about Oliver? What sort of emotional humiliation and damage did he sustain from Brooke's Oops Wall Boink? What sort of personal damage did he sustain? How about damage to his future career? Did anyone ever think of things from HIS perception?

Gee... if a possible "rape" really took Hope's mental state near the edge... what about Oliver? What about being a 20-21 year old sexually inexperienced young man... holding out for sex with that one special person that you want to spend the rest of your life with and finding out you just screwed your true love's 45 year old MOTHER instead?
Facts- Oliver was very young, nearly a teen himself, when Mama Brooke had her way with him. He was very sexually inexperienced, where as Brooke was highly experienced!
Fact- If this had been a reversal of roles... if Ridge had mistaken a 20-21 year old woman for Brooke... and had sex with her at a teen party for Thomas... as female fans, we would have been ready to hang him! We'd have wanted to hang him and burn him at the stake, if this young woman been Thomas' true love too!

Simply stated, what happened between Brooke and Oliver, even to this day, is simply unfathomable and unbelievable! Simple stated- Brooke is a liar.

Fact- There is NO WAY possible that Oliver's hot 20 year old body could pass for that of a man nearly 50 years old! Sure, Ridge is in great shape... but come on!

Hey- didn't you hear what Liam said to Steffy the other day, when she walked up to him at Bikini Lounge? "I'd know you blindfolded!" Even that small statement, made on B&B less than a week ago, just proves there are still plenty of loose ends with the "wall boink" story! To this day, there's NEVER been a shred of compassion or justice for Oliver and for that matter- Hope!
Like I said before and I'll say again. I do NOT care what "Brooke says..." The woman KNEW what she was doing! She'd have to be brain dead to not know. Everything she did at her daughter's 18th birthday party was done in full knowledge. It was completely immoral and unethical! Everything! It was all a giant LIE and it continues to be, to this day! Come on! What sort of "mother" has SEX with some guy on a back patio- in full view for others to watch- at her daughter's 18th birthday party? What sort of person does something like that? I suppose the sort who would have sex with TWO son in laws? Or a woman who got pregnant by one son in law? Or a woman who married and had TWO kids with her father in law? Or, a woman who married her brother in law too? Or a women who thought she maybe had sex with a step son? The factual evidence of Brooke's past speaks to her guilt. It makes her excuse of "mistaken identity sex" with Oliver a pretty shallow excuse, indeed.

  • To this day, nothing can explain how in the world Brooke mistook Oliver for Ridge. She's been having sex with Ridge for decades...LITERRALLY. Oliver is not nearly as experience as Ridge and isn't even the same body type even though they are close in height. I can see what you are saying about Oliver beig used, but I also had a problem with Oliver thinking he was having sex with an even more inexperienced virgin, in semi-public, without protection. Oliver was on my crap list for a long time with that one. I do agree that if I were Oliver, there's no way in hell I'd continue working with a family as gross as the Forresters and the Logans. They share way too many lovers. There's no boundary between work and personal life. Everyone is so selfish and self-centered. Oliver seemed like a genuinely nice guy before the boink. I even liked his friendship with Steffy after the boink. As for Brooke, the ''olden groin'' was either too stupid to live or lying when she said she didn't know that she was having sex with Oliver. eom Linny
  • I'm with CC in that I NEVER believed the *accident* line with Brooke. Oh I know she looked shocked afterwards when she saw it was Oliver but the whole SL made no sense. A woman who has been with a man for 25+ KNOWS his body (and yes I speak from experience having been married for 27 years.) No way in h*ll I would make a mistake like that and it literally makes me sick to my stomach to think of doing that to a young couple...ESPECIALLY your own daughter. Brooke not only put on Hope's necklace, she actually whispered Hope's words...*I'm ready* an odd thing to say to the man you've been boinking for 25+ years. As for Oliver...he was blamed and tossed aside when in fact he only responded to the masked woman who he thouhgt was his young girlfriend. SHE led him out to the balcony and spoke those words he was waiting for. He was too young himself to know or think it was wrong. To this day I *Smh* tht Brooke just literally got away with it and poor Oliver is on the outter. laura
  • Oliver was nothing more than another sexual pawn for Brooke's oversexed folly. He was the perfect sacrifice. The perfect, young scapegoat. He was nothing more than the last victim to be crucified on ''The Golden Groin's'' cross of shame. Along with Brooke's youngest daughter's dreams of a virgin marriage and faith in true love. ALL of Hope's current issues goes back to that horrible, fateful night... all of it! CC

No Linny you're missing the point...Liam is Hope's DESTINEEEEEEEEE! Nothing else matters. (loved the way a few moths ago Brooke told Taylor and Ridge that Liam was Hope's *destineeee* and Taylor rolled her eyes and said something like *not that old chestnut again.*) Oliver must be pushed into the background and FORGOTTEN at all costs because we musn't make Brooke feel responsible for he own actions now must we????

B/T/W how is Brooke able to plan a wedding without the annulment papers??? Are the six months supposed to be up, even though it would actually be August????

  • Brooke said something about the divorce being final in two months. So, she's planning for that event to happen. I have no earthly idea how they are going to explain having the wedding take place in May if the characters have already admitted that 2 more months are in order. As for your observation about Brooke's motivations...YOU GOT THAT RIGHT. This is the whole reason why Deacon has been relegated to a ''shadowing figure'' who never wanted anything to do with Hope when, prior to his being poisoned and kicked off the wagon, he was all about trying to be a part of Hope's life and turn his life around. It's very inconvenient to have the specters of Brooke's skanky behavior lurking around when she's pretending to be anything but a skank. eom Linny
  • Hey, if they can SORAS people on soaps, surely they can SORAS time on divorces!
