Tonight the singers sang from the Billy Joel playbook. They younger singers did not really know who he was and Deandre did not know who Christy Brinkley was, say what??? LOL
Here is a link from TV shows and I have to agree with this guy on some of the singers, not the judges!
I loved that Diddy (the former Puffy who used to date J-Lo!) said to HeeJun, I don't know who that guy is, is he an actor? A comic? Is he even Asian? LOL
The dresser part was funny, when many of the singers did not listen to! Phil and Colton come to mind!
DeAndre started by singing *Only the Good Die young* Fun and upbeat. Randy thought it was a good start to the show. I am not sure if he has staying power on this show tho. Pretty hair, LOL
Erica sung *New York state of Mind* she went in a got a total makeover! wow! short dark hair now. Looks good. She has that deep voice, slow and edgy.
Joshua who blew us all away last week, sung *She got away* he was one who didn't really know Billy Joel music. Jen felt has not as committed. But he did good especially at the end.
Skylar did Shameless. OK that got me all confused, bc I know Garth Brooks to do it. Did not know that one was a Billy song first, wow. So she totally did the Garth version. But she is country, so....but I like Skylar she goes for it.
Elise sang Vienna, did not hear this one too much. She was soulful and raspy. The judges to make sure she does not fall in the bottom 3 gave he all sorts of praise and stood up for her. I think she is good, but not connecting so much.
Phillip Phillips beats to his own drum! He would not take any fashion advice nor singing advice.But he got on that guitar did his thing. He is so oddly different, and to me does not sing that well but is who is he. He knows who he is, that you just have to like him, and I do.
Hollie did Honestly. She looked good and sung a ballad. I thought she did good tonight, but the judges thought something different. Steve said she was pitchy. Randy said chorus great.
Heejun, oh what can I say. He is so odd,but when he sings, sometimes, I can heat it and know why he was picked to be on the show. Other times, I shake my head. I guess he had fun and he was entertaining,but it is NOT a comedy show! And I don't think last weeks criticism, bothered him that much!
Jessica, *Everybody has a dream* Looked so pretty and really sang that song. She felt that song, good moment of the night.
Colton *Piano man* another one who does not listen to mentors or the fashion guy. But that is ok,if you know who you are, then go for it. Ok, in Linda post, you know I love Piano man* but I did not like this way he sung it. But alot of the verses were left out. But I guess it would be too long then! Too me it was squeaky and off tune. Then it just ended! But the judges just loved it so much!
I think the best were Jessica and Elise. I think the bottom might be DeAndre and Heejun. I hope Heejun goes home!

I have been tired of Heejun since the auditions. Steven Tyler's reaction to him was priceless...I saw Steven Tyler's reaction while Heejun was singing, and I told Mr. ML that he wasn't amused. I think he is far and away the worst of the group...
Jessica was wonderful. I loved the Erika makeover.
