Additional Comments:
Every day, the budding romance between Luke and Anna is sneaking up on you and constantly surprises you in brilliantly subtle ways.
Today, the way he looked at her and knocked her over with his admission that he loves the way she smiles made me refall in love with Tony Geary, a man I was positive wore out his welcome on this show while it was under Guza's insane seige of terror.
And Finola Hughes is more wonderful than ever.
They make a sweet couple.
I never bought Tracy being the woman who could steal Luke's heart away from Laura.
Anna DeVane, however, is a much different story.

When I first started watching this show in February, I had no preconceived notions about any of the characters except what I had read on the OLTL board. Several regular posters commented about how GH had lost its attraction when it became one big mob show with Sonny in it too much. Once I started watching, I tried not to be influenced by strong opinions about the characters.
That said, at first I didn't see the attraction to Luke. Now...I do. It may be Anna, it may be the new writers, or I just got to know him better, but I can see why he has held on to the role for so many years. Part of the attraction may be that the writing is on the wall about Heather's psychopathic ways and I like to see her uncomfortable.
As for Robert, I've only seen him briefly when he appeared when Robin died, and then disappeared before even attending her funeral. It's okay with me if he stays gone.

I have to agree its great to see two talented actors on screen at the same time. I want Luke and Laura, and Robert and Anna. But you know the saying Want in one hand,SH%$ in the other, see which one fills up faster.
The more on screen time they get,the less sonny we get.I hope !

Message: As much as I am enjoying seeing FH and TG acting together, I'm with Elliot and really don't want a romance between Anna and Luke. Why can't they just be friends? To answer Helena's question, I don't know if Robert is still in love with Anna or not, but I want him to be. Robert and Anna are my favorite GH couple of all time and I want them to a) find their daughter together, and b) realize they still love each other. Til then, I'm happy to have Luke and Anna as friends, but hate the idea of a romance there.

TG and FH in any scenes is a good thing and the more the better. I could watch them all day. Next we need NLG in a story and I willl really be happy. Coleman needs to be in more scenes as well.

Why can't two adult male and female characters just be really, really good friends and confidants? I personally don't want to see them as a couple. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, but why does it have to? Can't Luke just be single? Does everyone have to be coupled up with someone to make their character worth having around? I'll take whatever the show has to give me as I'm happy with it for the first time in a decade, but I wish they wouldn't go there with Luke and Anna.

Message: These two actors each bring magic to the roles they play...I guess that means double magic when they are on screen together. I love them together on screen, as lovers, friends, whatever... anything that brings them together is fine with me... Heather lurking though makes me nervous. Anna needs to be involved with Emma and helping Patrick too. If it is to be a romance I hope there is a long build up to it and both Luke and Anna have time to be parts of the community and their families too. That is what makes a great soap, not just two people locked together in a romance.

Message: I LOVE it. Luke and Anna are so natural together and relaxed and easy. Grandparents together--wow, who'd have thought.
I hated the Tracy-Luke thing because it was unbelievable. Two good actors, but the characters would NEVER have gotten together. Luke is a romantic and he would never have committed to cranky Tracy--she isn't at all his type. He wouldn't put up with her spoiled nastiness and complaining. Guza used their bickering as comic relief, but it was hardly fun to anyone who had loved Luke and Laura. We saw him with Laura and she was loving-yet-firm with him, but never nasty or hateful. She was a soft womanly woman, which appealed to Luke.
Anna has qualities that could make me warm to her as his match--they make each other laugh, for one thing. That is always a plus in any relationship.
I've been hoping they would bring back Tristan Rogers, but maybe they shouldn't...at least not now...
