Additional Comments: She apparently talks about it in her book. She was required to attend 64 mandatory AA meetings. AA is totally anonymous, so how was she able to document her attendance? She came away from those meetings convinced that she wasn't an alcoholic. Really? What do you think about people who risk others lives by driving buzzed? I'm not even saying she was drunk. I kind of think it was potentially dangerous.

AA attendance is documented by a sign-in sheet on AA letterhead with AA meeting address and dates. Person signs their name and meeting supervisor signs initials confirming attendance. This is what an AA attendee told me.

Well, she's lucky she didn't have her license pulled for a year...I'm guessing that having a good attorney played a part in this and that's how she got AA attendance instead.
(I haven't read the book.)
I have no idea whatsoever if she has a problem but truly, drinking and driving does not equal alcoholic.
However, slightly buzzed or intoxicated it is unacceptable.

Message: I haven't read the book, but I have ordered it. I don't think that because someone gets a DUI, it means they are an alcoholic. Not at all! It means they got drunk, and did something they shouldn't have when they were drunk. That is what drunk people do! Nowadays people take it that if you get drunk and do something you shouldn't that you are an alcoholic. It's just not the same thing at all! Boy, the Luke problem on GH got WAY into all that!!!

Message: I read the book & i applaud her bravery in being so honest and candid about the incident. Still, I'm not totally convinced she takes it seriously enough.
