Topic: I'm probably going to draw fire for this, but....Phyllis/Ricky post

Additional Comments: I know these days there's not a lot of love out there for Phyllis, but I have a different take on her. Yes, she's done unforgivable things, and been forgiven for them but some people act as if she is completely unredeemable and at the same time letting others off the hook. I really want her and Nick to find happiness and be a long term stable couple. I can't stand Ricky. IMVHO he's just creepy and not a strong villain at all. I can somewhat understand his motivations. I just don't like him. I hope he fails in his attempt to destroy Phyllis even though I know he will probably inflict some damage. I'm one of those who don't especially care for the 'wonderful, perfect "Bug", Ms. Pristine Williams either. I heard there is going to be some Danny/Christine 'heat'. That's good. Let them take it out of town and stay gone. As for Ricky let him ride off into the sunset as well, oh and he can take Daisy with him. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!!

Message: I don't get how resentful Ricky is, because he was sorased & suffered off-screen. I we had seen Paul dissing him, saw Ricky growing up feeling neglected & resentful, it would fly better with me. I can't blame Paul for not wanting to raise the child of this crazy woman who tried to kill his wife. But he saw to it that the child was raised by family who presumably loved him. I never saw it as being a deadbeat dad.

Message: I will read this post later, but let me say a big thumbs down if they dredge up the hit and run and give Phyllis a slap on the wrist. Whether or not Ricky or Daisy are crazy has NO BEARING on what a Red Witch she is - and this coming from someone who likes the actress and at least understands the character.

I don't like Ricky or Christine Crickett LeBug Blair, but I HATE (see also : loathe, despise, detest, abhor, etc etc) Phyllis ....
Wanting Ricky to expose Syphyllis for the nasty piece of work that she is IMO is just choosing the lesser of two evils ... Ricky may be evil, but Phyllis has been evil and getting by with it for too damn long ....
What you see in Syphyllis as fiesty, I see as pushy, bitchy, snarky, clingy, possessive, narcissistic, selfish behavior... She's a viperous shrew ...
She gloats about laying all of everyone else's misdeeds out in print but her deeds are supposed to be off limits ....Nothing is EVER her fault and she never does anything wrong though according to her .... It's time for this skank to be taken down by her own brand of punishment .....Her own brand of punishment ..... Her Own Brand of PUNISHMENT !!!!

Message: I do not want Ricky to hurt Phyllis physically.
I am just tired of her publishing the goods on everyone else and not caring, but when it comes to her everything is off limits. She calls Christine a b** and she thinks she is the queen of the land.
And her little girl thing with Nick is the same thing and i dont think she deserves him.
She was the one that brought Daisy to town and she blames everything on her sister.
Shame. Its as if Phyllis is continuing the bullying of Avery that their father started.
I dont believe in what she did or how she is jealous of every female.

The way I see it, since Philly has dug up the dirt on everyone else and splashed it all over the cover of Listless Pile she has nothing to complain about when the tables are turned.
As far as Ricky, I think TPTB messed up by making him so blatantly sociopathic. It would have been much more interesting if the viewers couldn't really tell whether he was up to good or evil. We'd see Paul being all suspicous and investigating his own son but we wouldn't be sure he was on the right track. Would Paul be burning bridges with his only son or averting disaster for Ricky's intended victims? That's the storyline I'd like to see...

Message: I don't care a lot for the character of Christine either, but I want everyone to know what evil things Phyllis has done. She doesn't mind hurting Sharon with her so-called editorials, but I want the people of GC to finally know what a snake-in-the grass Phyllis really is. It needs to come out.

Message: Phyllis and Victor would be a dream match--they are both hypocritical. That being said I don't see how far they can take this Ricky plot if MS is not leaving the show. I don't like then endless prison scenes with any character and I think if Red goes to prison I will be doing a lot of fast forwarding because the show has been there and done that already. I don't think Christeen is all that saintly re: Ricky. She enabled Paul to have him raised by the Branas saying piously "It's for the best". I doubt though the writers will have this in the plot re: Christeen. I also find Ricky too creepy to be the one to bring down Phyllis.

I think the Ricky Gunning for Red story will be entertaining, mostly because it'll involve multiple characters and will tap some of the history of the show. As much as I always enjoy seeing Phyllis get her comeuppance I'm not exactly rooting for Ricky. He's just too creepy. Writing a tell-all book is one thing but this guy's agenda seems a bit more sinister than that. I'd hate to see him do Phyllis actual bodily harm.
As for Phyllis's future with MyBoy, I just don't care all that much. Nick is a lousy husband and I don't wish him on any woman, even Phyllis.

Gotta say, Evergreen, agree with every single thing you said. Phyllis is not my favorite character and I do get annoyed with her at times, but all in all, I do like her. Would also like to see her find lasting happiness, with Nick or whoever. She is one very flawed character, like so many of the other characters on the show. But she is feisty and fun to watch.
As for Ricky, he totally gives me the creeps - I expect to have nightmares about him any time now. If that is what TPTB intended, they have done a very good job. Something about his eyes seem dead and just scary to me.
Actually it was a guilty pleasure for me when Phyllis called Christine the bad name. No, Phyllis should not have done that, but to me that is exactly what the character of Christine is. Hate her, hate her - she is so holier than thou. Disappointed she has been brought back with her nose in the air as usual.

I despise SyPhyllis.
I don't especially like (evil) Ricky...but if he is able to cause SyPhy any trouble or hopefully SQUASH her and/or give her just a tad of the problems she has caused EVERYBODY else in GC, he'll be worth his weight in gold to me.
and btw - Nick is simply an idiot. How I wish he had told her menopausal pregnant butt to just go get that special brownie with the 1000 toppings herself.

Message: Actually I don't dislike Phyllis for her past sins.
It's all about when they started her doing her blog BS that I really started disliking her again.
It seems that she was in every story line didn't matter whose it was.
And nothing has changed since.... she is still in everything coming down the turnpike.
And she is the biggest hypocrite there is with the things she is saying about all and sundry and given the things she has done in the long gone past, the recent past, the present and the future that we can see at least.
That and her constant repeating of words, phrases, hell - whole paragraphs if she's in the mood. That drives me nuts.
I am sick of seeing her on my tv almost every single day in story lines that she really has no relation to whatsoever and others that are contrived situations.

Message: Evergreen, I don't want Phyllis off the hook. She is too wacky to be out in public and has been for years and years. She really should not be out and about wandering the streets of GC. I WANT Ricky to get her although it looks like TPTB are back-tracking on this SL also. Seems like everyone is warning Phyl about Ricky so she'll come out smelling like a rose and not the horrible horrible person she is. And for what reason did she call Christine a bitch? Christine should call her what she is - a whore - who broke up her marriage with the lies she told Danny. She hates everyone and is just downright evil, so no, I want Ricky to get her and get her REAL GOOD!

lol, did you see her scene on the patio the other day? ;-)
My biggest problem with Phyllis is she is a hypocrite. She is constantly yelling at others for stuff she does telling them not to do it. She never admits that she is wrong. Ever.
