Topic: 'Redeem' Patty by having Jack fall in love with her, just like Adam/Sharon

Additional Comments: They can also bring Sheila back. They can spend years trying to make Patty and Sheila part of Genoa City society. They've been plodding along for years trying to redeem Adam, so why not do the same for other ruined characters?

There is no way that Jack would ever fall in love with Patty.  Too many

bad things have happened that would outweigh P&J becoming a loving

and married couple.  No way that would happen.  If Patty went

away for about 10 years and came back a healthy and whole woman

again maybe but the way things are now no.

If you people think there is some fundamental difference between Sheila and Adam, please get the log out of your eye.  It is all in the way TPTB want the show written.  Sheila is more evil, and Adam is more misunderstood, but it's taken to ridiculous heights.  Setting up the marriage ceremony at the jail, and then deliberately spitting in Sharon's face by dumping her during it was beyond cruel.  What's worse is watching him sulk like a child after he shot himself in the foot.  Whatever, don't give a damn.. his bitterness should have eaten him alive as far as I'm concerned.

Phyllis is a skank, a smug sanctimonious shrew and sex-maniac.  She ran down two people and is questionably responsible for the murder of another.  But they also wanted to "redeem" her too, so what better way than make her the victim of Sheila Carter (which could easily not have been Sheila, let's be honest).

TPTB love MM since he is the current lifeline that extends YR's contract a couple more years.  They clearly don't have the same respect for Kimberlin Brown, who was Emmy-nominated for her Sheila role (something which MM has so far failed to achieve), and sacrificed that character for some reason.

I don't believe for one second that the depth and conviction which Kimberlin Brown brings to ALL of her soap roles, extending to OLTL and Port Charles, is not equal to, if not better than, Michael Muhney's charisma.

If you hate Sheila, it's because they trashed the character thoroughly.  Sheila long could have been just like a milder Phyllis if they gave the actress the scripts.. for some time on BB, that's kind of what she was.

Adam is the same, if they wanted to MAKE YOU hate him, they would.  It's nepotism, and that's just show business.  Kimberlin Brown would do well to go on Days of our Lives.  That would be an excellent showcase for her talents.

Well if Jack fell in love with the person who just shot him and tried to kill him then he would be a totally ruined character that's for sure.

No way in hell Jack will EVER fall in love with a woman who shot him..not once but twice? You kidding me? This is like someone getting married to a person who abused them before the wedding..out of some twisted sick love. I'm already teetering on not watching this soap ever again..because of Jack's dilemma.

Good Lord, why cant Jack get a decent break longer than fifteen minutes at a time???

If TPTB brought back both Patty and Sheila, that would be the end of it for me.  And I'm guessing I've got a lot of company...

  • ITA with you. Bringing back Patti was bad enough. Sheila has had her day, and her ship has sailed a long time ago. And, I find it easier to defend the bad guy if there is some semblance of good in him, like Adam, rather than Patti, who is so totally off her rocker that it is more comical than tragic...............................DianeR
