When Patty was horrified to learn that she can no longer win Jack by pretending to be Emily again (was that actually her plan?!) she shot him.
Perhaps a better idea would have been, after having studied Genevieve's mannerisms the past few months, to have had 'Myrna' go out of town for a few weeks to transform herself again, this time into Genevieve.
Think about it.. Jack would never suspect it, if she could pull it off, that after all this time Patty was able to trick him yet again with a different face. It would be an acting coup for Genie Francis, and to be honest, I would be surprised to learn that this idea wasn't at least "bounced around" during an actual writer's meeting.
Could you imagine another doppelganger storyline? Maybe Patty could even drug Genevieve to be Myrna in her place as well, serving her. Since Myrna never showed her face, no one would be the wiser when they saw "Myrna" still veiled, catatonically serving Jack and "Genevieve" at the mansion.

Paul and Ronan both know that Myrna is Patty. And Patty is on
the run. Who exactly would pay for this transformation? Certainly
not Victor because he knows he started the whole chain
reaction with the transformation of Patty into Emily.
Someone would have to get Patty find a pictue
of Gen and tell the doctor she wants to look her..
It won't happen. Besides after what Gen did
to Jack he would never marry that woman ever.
