Additional Comments: In a reply to another post I guessed that Genevieve had some sort of psychological need to own BON that had something to do with Colin. I was right. She wants to avoid past mistakes of being too dependent on a man so she put in a bid for BON. Her mistake was that she didn't let Jack know, but maybe she was afraid he would try to change her mind. And of course the fact that she knew what Jack's bid was makes it worse. People make mistakes...it doesn't seem like anything that couldn't be worked out if Jack is willing. I still think Cane should mind his own business because it has nothing to do with him, though. As for Jack, I hope he recovers and he works things out with her. If they do get married at least the company is in the family and could be merged with Jabot someday.

Message: Tho' Jen should have been honest with Jack about her intentions regarding BON, I didn't think she deserved to be villified for wanting the company. Now, it seems like a contrivance to pair her with Victor. YUCK. Guess Laird was right about the boxing scene forshadowing a hook up. God forbid the old goat could go 5 minutes without another woman at his feet. And Gen's talk about how her experience with Collin drove to seek independence...all for naught. She is jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Message: I don't understand at all why this has made Cane turn against his mom. There are plenty of moms out there that have done far worse things and their kids stand by them. It's not as if Cane and Jack are particularly close to each other. His whole speech today kept me scratching my head. Don't get me wrong, I think the way she went about getting BON was underhanded, but that is between Gen and Jack.
