I thought this was well done and beautiful..I loved seeing John Abbott. I have another reason for loving those scenes..personally.
Over ten years ago..I had a near death experience..stopped breathing in my sleep..long enough to almost die for real. I saw something that wasn't a dream..I knew I was gone..don't know how long but I was in that "Tunnel" looking down at a beautiful illuminated white city on an ocean. The water was like blue ice, calm, i saw buildings in soft pastel colors changing in the sunlight, I saw a slowly moving ferris wheel at the oceans edge..no people. I was moving fast till i looked up and nearly hit a brick wall and I was bounced back into my sleeping body in bed.
This was no dream, I was gone...don't know how long..I saw no relatives telling me to "Go Back"..I was given a gift..a glimps of the otherside..I had a vision that i never forgot. It matters not what a good artist you are..you couldn't paint anything as beautiful as what I saw..I've tried..I've painted two paintings of what I saw..not even close to how beautiful that original vision was when I was gone.
Some of you may not believe me. Some of you may have experienced the same thing and is too embarrassed to admit it for fear of being laughed at..not me. I know what I saw and it was no random dream..I almost crossed over in my sleep and a brick wall bounced me back. It wasn't my time to leave this world.

Thank you all for the wonderful post. I'm amazed at what I saw in that nde vision.
I saw white buildings changing with soft colors made of Marble and the streets were like "Mother of Pearl".. breathtaking. Rembrandt couldn't paint anything close to that beauty and he was one of my favorite old masters.
Maureen's mother life experience remember me of my mother's experience.
She and her brother were walking home, I think a storm must have come up. They hid in a ditch. While waiting for the storm to pass, they seen Jesus, I think that he was protecting them. Not saying come with me.

I believe you; thank you for sharing your experience, it was a brave thing to do.
My mother had an similar experience after surgery. She saw a brilliant white light in a tunnel, a gentle breeze and a beautiful figure in flowing white gown who sent her back to us. I am so thankful it was not her time.
Because of this experience, my mother says she no longer fears death.
