Genivieve was complaining to Cole how she wanted to go out on her own to prove she can do something with, basically, not being under Colin's ''thumb'' anymore. so what does she do?? She calls the old goat and wants to talk presumably about being under the Newman ''Umbrella''!
Be careful, Genny, being under the umbrella is much worse than being under a thumb! Victor is worse in that he is a disgusting, vile human being who will screw you (literally and figuratively) to get what he wants.

I'd like to see an independent woman on this show who didn't get all the money for their new venture from hubby or daddy, like Gen, Nikki, Victoria & Ashley.
So far the only time we've seen Gen ''working'' in an office is when she was having sex with Jack on her desk next to Jill's. What exactly does that qualify her for?

I am NOT looking forward to Genevieve becoming involved with Victor, as recent events seem to indicate. I liked her when she was the intense, loony wife of Colin who showed up in Genoa City, then after Colin was imprisoned and deported became very successful (although she apparently never had worked before) at Jabot. When she became romantically involved with Jack, to me she became an utter bore.
Now that she as head of FMN owns Jabot, she has the potential to become truly dazzling. However, that will all go overboard if Victor somehow becomes involved with her to reacquire Beauty of Nature. Ugh.

Gen is a simp. She likes to think she is strong enough to run her own company but she has no idea how to play with cruel and manipulative people, she only thinks she does bc of her being a mob wife.

Message: I agree. Joining forces with Victor won't be that much different for Gen than being tied to Colin, except that Colin was way more charming than the Old Goat. I liked Genevieve's comment to Victor, "That sounds like the Mafia. I've had enough of that." Except I have the sinking feeling Victor will somehow change Gen's mind and get his way. Again.
