The Back Shore of Gloucester, MA and Good Harbor Beach (or as we call it locally, Good "Hah-bah," lol):

Good Harbor Beach - My favorite place for a beach day (except it costs $30/day to park there!):

I'd give almost anything to live here, LOL

These waves are actually considered "big" for this part of the country (those in CA and HI, feel free to laugh! LOL!).

I loved the colors in the water that day, so I took a few close ups of this little tide pool that is set off to the side...

Gorgeous! What a spectacular coastline. Although I would imagine some of those houses sitting out there so close to the ocean could be a little scary if a big storm rolls in!

  • Yeah, that would be the one drawback to living there.........DebS

That is so beautiful and tranquil, I could sit there for meditation and relaxation, or a nice glass of wine. It must be unbelievable at sunset , and the homes are so pretty. You are so lucky to be able to go there in such a short time. We are coming to Maine in June to go whale watching, it'll be our third time, we're bringing my grand daughter and dil with us. I hope they love it like we do !

Great photos, Deb!  Gloucester is one of our favorite places, along with Rockport and Essex.  We've been to Good Harbor Beach a number of times, mostly when Leo was younger.  He and his dad spent hours hunting for crabs in the shallows.  The last time we went there was no parking to be had, but a nice lady up the street let us park in front of her house so we could walk down to the beach.

We didn't make it to Gloucester at all last year so I''m hoping we can go at least once this summer.

  • It's beautiful there and I kind of took it for granted most of my life. I'm lucky now that my good friend lives right near Good Harbor, so I am able to park in front of her house and walk down to the beach. Didn't have to do that today, though. Since it's before Memorial Day, there is a street right on the beach where you can park for free - and there are usually parking spots. So i was able to park there and get these pics. I love Rockport too. I have a few nice pics there, but I want to take more. We'll definitely be there more than once this summer so I'm sure I'll have plenty to post!..........DebS
