Your Christmas tree...What did you think I meant...We put ours up last week...It's fake. I like it...It's not a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but it does the trick...We have had real trees over the years, but everytime we do it, it's a big mess in the end...So what do you perfer? Real or Fake...Redman...Happy Holidays...aka...Merry Christmas...

I have a fake, tiny one. I live in a small apartment and don't have room for a large one.
Real trees are nice - they smell good - but I grew up w/ fake trees, so I'm good continuing to have a fake one. Plus, I hate the idea of cutting down a tree just to decorate it for a few weeks and then throw it away.

Fake. And it's a love-hate relationship. I love it because it's not as messy as a real tree and once I paid for it, I've never had to pay for it again. I love it because I can put any ornament pretty much anywhere I want. And I love it because it's not likely to fall. I lost some expensive ornaments and a precious porcelain angel that a friend made for me when my tree fell.
Still, I hate dragging it down from the attic, I hate that it has no smell and that as nice a tree as it is, it still does not look real. I bought this tree about four years ago and I almost bought a live tree this year because I miss the smell and the "realness" of it.
But the best part of a fake tree is you don't advertise to your neighbors how lazy you are when you toss the real tree out in the middle of January.

Same here, redman. We've had lots of real trees over the years, but once we invested in an artificial tree .. we usually haul the box down and assemble our Christmas tree, branch by branch!
I do miss the heavenly aroma of a freshly cut pine tree .... but this big ol' fake tree has its benefits. We can put it up whenever we want without worrying about it getting dried out and becoming a hazard (I live with a fireman..he's put the fear in me!). The branches never droop and can even be manipulated (lol) to accomodate certain ornaments that are heavy, long, etc. Nobody ever hollers ''Hey..has anyone put water in the tree today???'' And the best part of all ~ no pine needles all over the place when Christmas is over.
But I will readily admit to feeling envious whenever I see a happy family driving along with their newly selected, beautiful, REAL, fragrant Noble fir tied to the top of their car.

Fake
We invested in a $300 tree a couple years back that we bought after Christmas, greatly reduced. That we could not leave at the store. We have it in the blue and gold theme which we love.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
