Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
It seemed like I just did last year's decorating and shopping and here I was doing it all again. I used a different set of ornaments on the tree this year (the blown glass figural ones I've been collecting since college) and filled it out with stems of berries & greenery and the same silver and gold gilded stems and snowflake ornaments I used the last few years with my other ornaments. Not bad, but I think I'll do silver and white glittery stems next year to give the tree a more of a ''snow and ice'' look. (Sorry about the blurry picture, photos are hard for me because my hands shake.)

I put up little stockings for Wendell and Lowell but want to make some nicer ones (kitty size, of course) with their names on for next year.

All in all, Mr. Ingy, Wendell, and I had a very relaxing day. Lowell, on the other hand, saw Christmas for the very first time and got pretty excited about the festivities. The fire, in particular, mesmerized him.

Lowell was very jazzed about all the paper, ribbons, etc. and spent hours diving into and hiding in the piles of cast-off wrappings. He wore himself out so much that when dinnertime rolled around he chose to ignore his food in favor of a nap -- unusual for a kitty who's growing at the rate he is. He's usually all about his food.

I like this next shot because it gives a pretty good idea of Lowell's eye color. The right eye is more accurate; there's some sort of shadow in the left one that's not there in person. I love that pale grey-green color, Wendell's eyes are a very similar color.

And I'm so proud ofthe boys for their conduct regarding the Christmas tree. Lowell tried to climb into it once but a swift verbal reprimand immediately followed by ''relocation assistance'' put a stop to it. No incidents since then. Lowell is a people-pleaser and learns quickly from discipline. Wendell was perfect around the tree. Here's a shot of Wendell wondering when Lowell would tear himself away from the gift paper and wrestle with him.

And lastly, a photo taken a few weeks ago. I just love this shot of the boys together:

Again, hope all of you had a great holiday. Share your stories!

Your tree is beautiful Ingy. And I love the pictures of Wendell and Lowell. :)
I spent the day with my sister and her family. They have a 2.5 year old grandson and a 1 month old granddaughter. This was the first time I'd seen my new great-niece, who is adorable. Got quite a few gifts, all of which I definitely will enjoy using. My fav is my new touch Kobo eReader. Christened it yesterday.

Your tree always looks so nice.
I was at my sister's xmas day and she and her husband had a fire going in their new house. I love the smell so much. Just beautiful.
And naturally, the kitties are adorable!
Pretty tree! Cozy fire!! Cute kitty-cats!!!
Our kitties seem to be taking turns sitting on the now bare tree skirt. They loved lurking around in the presents .. a great ''hiding spot'' .. lol .. but now they seem sort of disappointed to have to sit there totally exposed. My daughter purposely left an empty box sitting out because they've had a great time plopping themselves down in it. Silly cats.
As for our Christmas day, we had a busy one. We got up, opened our gifts, went to church, had dinner at the home of a fellow church member, chilled out at my mom's house & went to the movies to see Sherlock Holmes II - awesome flick!
It IS a beautiful tree! As I mentioned before, I do like the way you have it displayed in the bay(?) window.
When I had cats, they were in one of three places: Hiding under the tree, in front of the tree batting at ornaments or climbing up into the tree.
Only once did the tree fall down.
But your cats appear much too well-mannered for any of that....
