Well, last night arround one in the morning we got back from visting my sister in law in St. Louis..amazing! She has a grandson..bearly 12 year's old and he's GROWING A MOUTACHE! (must be true about kids maturing at an early age) I sort of made  this dumb joke  with his mother about him having sex at 13 and she laughed back.."Oh hell no!" lol!

I got some soft pink woolly knitted warm socks, my sister in law gave me a lot of "Irish themed gifts..a note pad with a pen..something I saw in one of my "Creative Irish Gifts catalog..homemake cinnamon bread, a lantern, a candy dish for my favorite candy 'Werther's butter creme..two bags!

I spent a lot of time at her house watching the political news ..I was stunned. The news men there..totally fair and will jump on a lie about the president like a dog with a bone. Oh, whatever negative thing they hear coming from Republicans at president Obama, the truths mixed with lies..they called them out on it. The looks on their faces.."Oh no he didn't!". They would play back whatever lie viewed in video clips and playback what the president REALLY  said..lol! Oh, don't know about everywhere.. but the president's approval ratings are going up..I heard Sarah Palin's thinking of coming back into the presidntial race...huh? It's like a line from one of my favorite movies.."Dune" "The Sleeper has awaken".. and in this case the voters are the "Sleepers"..they realize how many twisted lies are said about the president..

But back to christmas..St Louis airport..we all had to remove our shose during check ins no man could keep on a belt, we had to remove over coats and anything metal that would set off alarms.. we had one checked in bag between myself and the hubby and i had my ratty carry on bag..for small stuff..extra tee shirts, make up, my pills..etc. Oh, the best part..I saw a lot of american soldiers in the airport coming back from Irag..they were all over the place..! I LOVED  THAT PART THE BEST! I later saw some of them on news clips on tv later..I wanted to go up to some to say "Hello" but they looked tired, some were sleeping on benches..some on cell phones..lol! It was a beautiful sight. My sister in law has a nice house on a lake with a various geese, ducks..on her lawn..sometimes looking like three hundred at a time..saw a crane walking arround on her property as if taking a morning stroll as if he was in deep thought.. it was like a "Norman Rockwell painting.

We were at the St Louis airport early..about four hours ..my sister inlaw had to drop us off early...she had extra plans to drive to another state at four p.m. we realized our plane that was still stuck in Georgia hadn't left yet..high winds..it was delayed getting into St. Louis..this one plane had to go back and forth between Georgia and St. Louis four times ..(it's more or less a one hour flight) We spent a lot of time waiting...over eating..oh, I'm sure I gained a few extra pounds at her house..lol!

Well, for the first time in over 30 years, instead of me travelling home, some siblings came up here to see me!  We had a great Christmas.  In the gift department, we go small and usually something someone has mentioned or needs,  I received gift cards to add to my ereader list, a Julia Child cookbook, handknitted socks made from Australian possum yarn ( soooooooooooo soft) and a Miche purse system.
