The night my beloved Riggins was euthanized I cried all day. He was a wonderful, tender ,lovable dog. I will miss him as I still miss our first Vizsla Butkus. My husband saw an ad in the Buffalo News and it was for Vizsla pups. This is rare, we waited three litters to get Riggins out of Toronto. I called the lady Easter morning , drove to Ohio yesterday and got a Vizsla puppy, eight weeks old, ready to leave his Mama. My friends tell me it's an omen to find him, I believe they are right. Before deciding which of the three males to be part of our family, I turned them on their back to see how submissive they were. Our boy, Guinness, was so sweet, no problem knowing he was the one. Slept on my lap all the way home, only got up three times last night. I don't know how to post pics or I would put one up, he's a handsome boy. He distracts me from the constant pain of missing Riggins, crying as I write this, but he will be loved and a wonderful addition to our life.Guinness is sleeping at my feet now, he's a sweet puppy.I miss Riggins :(

Message: Guinness is a lucky little guy! He needs you and you need him. I understand how hard it is to lose a beloved pet but hopefully healing will come as time goes by. Like someone below me said, it is a tribute to Riggins that you got another pup of his same breed...I hope you will enjoy many, many happy years with Guinness!

Message: Hi Rosie, it sounds like it was meant to be for you to find Guinness. Sorry for your recent heartbreak, but so glad you have a new puppy to love.
Congratulations, Rosie! Guinness sounds like a cutie. No pet will ever take the place of Riggins, but the fact that you were interested in getting a dog of the same breed so quickly speaks of what a great dog Riggins was. It's a bit of a tribute to him.
I'm guessing Guinness may look something like this -- am I on the right track?
