I'm passing this on because it worked for me today:
A doctor on TV said in order to have inner peace we should always finish things we start and we all could use more calm in our lives. I looked around my house to find things I'd started and hadn't finished, so I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiuminun scriptins, an a box a chocletz. Yu haf no idr how fablus I feel rite now. Sned this to all who need inner piss. An telum u luvum.

LOL.  I know this is meant to be facetious but for me, finishing things you start really does contribute to inner peace.  Walking around the house and seeing unfinished projects, things not put away, etc. makes me feel mentally "cluttered."  Having things in reasonable order, and projects wrapped up, helps me feel more serene.  I can sometimes be a procrastinator so putting paid to unfinished business always gives me a sense of accomplishment.

  • I agree totally. There's something to be said for having a clean house to come home to...Mitch
  • I agree that a clean house and wrapped up projects feels so good. I did enjoy the funny side of it too, Hmm... I have some brandy, chocolate, hmmmmmmm
  • I'm so with you. Orderly should be my middle name. When I get that ''cluttered'' feeling I make a list. I don't like skipping around on that list either. AND FGS roomates, husbands,SOs wives, put things back where you got them! Having to look for something is making two jobs where there should be one. S'mom
  • You guys are right. My house is a wreck and I never feel rested the way I used to when I was a much better housekeeper. It is wonderful to walk into a house that is clean and smells good. I just need to motivate myself to get off my lazy butt and get it done. (Mrs. B. H.)
