As you may know, ex-IL gov Rod Blago was convicted on 1 count but there was a hung jury on the other 24 counts, including the count that he tried to sell Pres. Obama's old Senate seat. The feds are gearing up for a retrial and already this nut job is whining to every media outlet known to man - Today Show, ABC World News, etc. - about how HE is the *victim* in all this and HE's broke and the feds are out to get HIM.

On the Today Show, he danced around Meridith Viera's questions and I can tell she was getting a bit frustrated by his diversion tactics. Another journalist asked him if he would ever run for another public office (can't believed they asked him that!) and he had the nerve to say ''If my wife is watching, no. But if she's not, I would consider it.'' Unbelievable! I'm convinced more than ever the man is delusional. Wish he would go away.

I don't know what he did or didn't do [he's a politician after all and I think they all have a little 'self-serving crook' in their blood]... that being said... I rather like him... and I really like his wife.

I hope no sympathy for the guy so don't get me wrong on that.....

But, I hate wasted lives. He worked and shined shoes, delivered pizzas, cooked for the Alaska pipeline to pay for his education .....and then to throw all that work away by being a crook and was, as governor, the most disliked in the whole 52 states.

I think he has successfully diluted the jury pool by going on The Celebrity Apprentice and making his rounds on tv. I don't know anything about him but he seems to be extremely slimy!

Peaches - I feel your pain LOL

He's a total waste of space and "media whore" doesn't even begin to describe him - the 2nd time around.

I'm still reeling that he was only convicted on one count. I'm not happy about the $$ but I want him tried again, and I want the feds to take a pass on Robert this time - I think he's been punished enough, quite frankly.

Rod most certainly DID try to sell Obama's seat and I hope the second time's the charm to get this guy out of our faces once and for all.

I heard a story about him on the 5 am CBS radio news this morning. He was at the Chicago Comic Com convention (or something like that) yesterday. Sound bites of him saying he always wanted to meet the Bionic Woman - Lindsay Wagner; and saying he was calling his lawyers on the Batphone.

He also met Adam West. The reporter doing the story said the former governor was charging $50 for autographs and $80 for a picture. !
