Additional Comments: I get my Lipitor prescription refilled and they tell me I have to take the generic. Ok, now it's $10 co pay and I have no choice. So I get it and three weeks later I'm in such muscle pain I call my druggist, he says call your doctor. My doctor calls the drug store and puts me back on the 10 milligram Lipitor and it's a $4 co pay again. I had sharp stabbing pains starting in my biceps which later were also in my neck, shoulders, thighs, groin and more.I'd wake out of a sound sleep with pain in my body. I was shocked at the side effects of the generic. Too bad I didn't have a choice because I never would have changed drug, if it's not broke don't fix it IMO. Still haveing some pain been on the Lipitor for three days, hope it'll be gone soon. Have a doctor appointment Monday for a regular ck.up, I feel like I'm now living my mothers life, so far I'm still in control thank goodness.

Message: I'm staying with the brand name...a generic has to be 75% of the formula, no more. I'd rather pay more and get 100% of what it's supposed to be.

I take Lipitor and was looking forward to the generic and some lower prices.....
