Subject: You probably could do something like that. You'd have to add more bulghur and less stock, of course. ~i&b

Subject: Just what is bulghur and what does it bring to the table? Er, I mean, does it add texture, flavor or what? What's it taste like? eom/Jenny

Subject: Bulghur is wheat. It just adds a bit of substance to the soup and provides a serving of grain. You can leave it out and the soup will be fine, just a bit thinner (you could always add more lentils or use less stock). ~i&b

Subject: I've never heard of Falafel with lentils but I suppose you could do it. I've only ever made it with garbanzo beans. I love lentils. I made some imjadra a couple of weeks ago. It's lentils, carmelized onions & bulgur. I undercooked the lentils so was disappointed in the results. I'll know next time!...............Liz
